When the client account is no longer active but need information from that file how do I access it?
You can reactivate your QuickBooks Online Payroll account to access your client's information, @Keedy.
We preserve your company data for 365 days after the cancelation date. If you resubscribe within that time, your data will still be available.
Here's how:
After you have returned to your payroll service, you may need to run through the payroll setup again. Review your payroll data, including employees and tax setup.

so we have a subscription and its up to date. The client that we were working for no longer was active but the needed information from that account. I was able to get taken care of through the chat. thank you
