New employees paycheck entries not showing in exp/liab accounts...

I had three new employees this pay period. When I was accepting bank transactions this morning, I noticed that their checks didn't come through as a "match" like all the others. Although their paychecks are showing in pay history, there are no expense/liability entries for their checks?

New employees paycheck entries not showing in exp/liab accounts...

Hello there,

You'll want to review the accounting preferences of your employees. Ensure the employees are set up correctly. Check that their payroll information, such as wage rates and deductions, are accurately entered.

Next, we will use the Find Match tool to manually locate transactions that didn't directly match in the banking. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu and select the For Review tab.
  2. Click the transaction and choose Find Match.
  3. Look for the match transactions and put checks in their boxes.
  4. Select Save.

For more details, refer to this article: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I'll leave this article you can use in the future: Change your accounting preferences in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

New employees paycheck entries not showing in exp/liab accounts...

I had already checked accounting preference and even updated the transactions. Matching the bank transactions showed nothing. I even looked at the transaction journal for the last two weeks and there are no G/L transactions for these paychecks, yet they show on my payroll reports. It's weird and frustrating!
