For now, I encourage you to visit the New Feature section on your QuickBooks, to stay current with the latest product news and improvements.
Here's how:
- Click on Help at the top menu bar.
- Select on New Features.
- Choose New Feature Tour.

Right now, you're unable to set up a user to only have access based on payroll schedules. Below are the only options you can modify under Employees & Payroll Role list:
- Paychecks
- Payroll Adjustments
- Payroll Liabilities
- Payroll Service Activities
- Payroll Tax Forms
For additional guidance, please refer to the attached screenshot below.
To edit the role, please follow the steps listed below:
- Go to the Company menu, then select Users.
- Select the Role List tab.
- Choose a role, then click Edit.
- Highlight Employees & Payroll.
- Select an access from the Area and Activities section.
- Click OK to save the changes.
