I created a check for the quarter to file unemployment liability but only included the last month in the dates where the quarter dates should have been entered. Do I void or delete this check?

Hello! Did you ever get an answer for this? I recently had to delete a liability check for sales tax because the EFT amount didnt match my check amount. I was wondering how to enter a new liabilty check without it affecting the future dates and amounts due. Thank you!

Thanks for checking in with us. Let's get this straightened out for you.
You can make a sales tax adjustment. The positive or negative adjustment is determined by the type of account you use on the adjustment. Choosing Expense as an account, creates a positive adjustment, because that is increasing how much you are spending. While choosing Income creates a negative adjustment, because that's less you'll have to pay. Doing this will not affect future dates and amounts due.
