Why are employer taxes in January recorded as Taxes, but as Payroll Taxes in February?

When I look at my P&L, all the employer taxes are reported in the account "Taxes" for January.  In February, all employer taxes are reported in the account " Payroll Taxes."  Both accounts are sub-accounts of "Payroll Expenses."  I don't like expenses moving from one account to another as it creates confusion in ascertaining YTD expenses.  QBO processes our payroll.  Who changed the account used for the various employer taxes, and why?

When managing employer taxes, keeping track of these payroll transactions is crucial for your data accuracy. In your case, it's possible that the account mapping of these entries has been modified from your payroll settings, which is why February taxes are posted to a different tax account.
