@JGB2 I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but judging by the following thread, they haven't even caught up to the simple IRA change from months ago:
Is there any update to this yet? We have many clients using QBO that have adopted the new Roth SIMPLE IRA and they need to be able to have this as a payroll deduction. Would a suggested work around be to use the "After-tax Roth 401(k)" payroll item?

Please know that there's no exact time frame for when this will be available in the program. Thus, I recommend sending a feature request to our Product Development Team. They'll review your suggestion and consider it for future updates. Also, when utilizing After-tax Roth 401(K) as a workaround, it's best to work with an accountant to ensure the accuracy of the recordings. If you don't have an accountant, I can help you find one. The Roth option within SIMPLE IRAs are currently available in several companies. Quickbooks should update their software to accomodate this!! This software is supposed to be cutting edge. Not having this options really compromises things! I hope they are working on this and will provide this option soon!
