The payroll taxes are not deducted from employees' paychecks. How do I fix it?

I'm here to help you fix the payroll taxes in your book, dgrossman.

 

Getting the latest payroll tax table update will help you sort things out. It is recommended to update it every after 45 days. To do it, you can follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Employees and click the Get Payroll Updates option.
  2. Tick the Download Entire Update box. Then, click the Downloaded Latest Update.  Once completed, you will know it by seeing a pop-up window.

Once done, you can go to this link. It routes you to the information on how to double-check if the tax table update was successfully downloaded or installed in your QuickBooks Desktop. If you created a paycheck, you can revert the paycheck and recreate it.
