If there's a tax overpayment after changing the rate, it will be displayed as a negative amount of the tax owed. When this happens, you can contact your state unemployment agency to confirm that the tax was overpaid. This way you'll be given options whether to apply the credit to future debt, or refund it to your account. Then, you can give us a call to assist you with reconciling the credit.
