Good to see you here in QuickBooks Community. I'm here to help and provide some insights about Direct Deposit in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
After signing up a Direct Deposit, Intuit makes two small withdrawals of less than $1.00 each from the bank account you set up. A test transaction should appear in your bank account in 2 business days. You can verify the amount either by checking your bank statement online or by calling your bank.
Once done, you'll need toconfirm the test transaction amount to completely activate your Direct Deposit. Let me walk you through the steps:
From the left menu, select Workers.
Click the Employees.
Select Finish payroll tasks on the main Employees page.
Click Verify the test deposit now.
Enter the test transaction amount in both boxes (less than $1.00). Enter the pennies only, without a dollar sign or decimal point.

The answer posted by my colleague above is only applicable to QuickBooks Online users. If you have this version and unable to follow the steps by @JanyRoseB, please know you can also do it through the Payroll Settings section.
Check out these steps:
Log into your QuickBooks account.
Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
Below Your Company, select Payroll Settings.
Below Payroll, select Direct Deposit.
Confirm the test transaction.
