Workforce show message employer isn't connected to QuickBooks Payroll. Contact them to access your paycheck

Hello there, @Denise37. I’ll assist you with how they can access the workforce in QuickBooks Online.

If an employee's unable to access QuickBooks Workforce, make sure that they got an invite to the page.

Here’s how:

  1. Select Employees, then Payroll.
  2. Choose the option to Add employee.
  3. Include your employee's contact information, such as their email address. This will prompt your employee to view his or her pay stubs and W-2s. An email will be sent to them with details on how to set up their Workforce account. Select the Ask this employee to input their personal, tax, and banking information with QuickBooks Workforce checkbox if you want your new employee to enter their personal information.
  4. Select Done.

You can also check this article for additional details on inviting your employee to QuickBooks Workflow to see pay stubs and W-2. You can also invite many employees at the same time in the article provided.

Alternatively, I added an article that gives you more information about managing employees in QuickBooks Online.

If the issue persists, I suggest executing the troubleshooting steps to have the best experience in navigating QuickBooks Online.

Here’s how:

Please let me know how it goes. I’ll be here to provide more information.

Workforce show message employer isn't connected to QuickBooks Payroll. Contact them to access your paycheck

I don't know  if your employee is still not able to connect or not but here's my experience.

I already have an Intuit/QB account so I didn't have to create one. I tried to use the activation link on my PC in a Firefox browser. I got the, "Sorry, your employer no longer has a QB Workforce account..." I tried the link on my phone, which also uses Firefox as my default browser, and it worked with my existing account.

If they can't do it on one device, have them try another.

I have an employee (just 1) who cannot access their paystub. It says to contact employer but I have re-invited her on my end with no luck. She has an intuit account for her taxes with the same email. Can you please assist?

Ensuring that employees can access their paystubs is crucial for a smooth payroll process, @lmbookkeeping.

Let's work together to troubleshoot the issue and find a solution that allows your employee to access their paystub conveniently.

Before we continue, could you please clarify whether you sent it using a new email or an existing one? Any additional details you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

It seems that despite your attempts to re-invite her on your end, the problem persists. To address this, please advise your employee to log into Workforce using the accurate user ID and password. It's essential to note that using an Intuit account login (e.g., TurboTax or Mint) that is not linked to your Workforce account may result in an error message.

Meanwhile, you can access this link and log in by entering your email and password: https://accounts.intuit.com. Afterward, follow the subsequent instructions to complete the process.

  1. Click edit on the user id (change user id into something else other than the email)
  2. Go back to the invitation email
  3. Click to get access to the paychecks tab
  4. Create an account by entering the full email address and setting up a password.

After that, I suggest going back to the invitation email and completing the account setup for the Workforce.

If the issue persists, allow your employee to contact our support team. They have advanced tools to view your account in a secure environment and help you investigate the root cause of your concern.

Moreover, you may consider sharing this article with your employee, as it offers helpful instructions on how to effectively manage personal and payroll records in Workforce: View your paychecks and W-2s in QuickBooks.

Let me know the result in the comment section below. I'll be around to help you further with your employee's QuickBooks Workforce concern. Keep safe always!

Workforce show message employer isn't connected to QuickBooks Payroll. Contact them to access your paycheck

This is insane- I am having the same issue and nothing seems to be working. Also, it's impossible to get in contact with support! My employer revoked access and re-sent the invite to a new email address, and I am still getting the same error message. It's been over a week and I can't access my own pay stub. No phone numbers for Quickbooks, can't find a live chat. What gives!

Thanks for joining the Community and getting involved with this thread, mmbrazell.

You can get in touch with our Customer Care team while using QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Help (?) icon.

  2. Click Contact Us.

  3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.

  4. Select Start messaging or Get a call.

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available. They can also be reached outside of QuickBooks, if necessary.

Once you've reached an agent, I'd recommend mentioning your scenario and that there's an ongoing investigation about it that you'd like to have the account added to as an affected user. After your account's been added to our investigation case, you'll receive email notifications about any updates relating to it.

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Thursday!
