After having a quick conversation with the Desktop Pro at Intuit, I got the issue fixed.
I am having the same problem, can you help me?

Cant install QB without having another license. Can I just use the one from the first desktop to install to the laptop? Working from home now because of the virus so I need to have access to my data at home. Thanks!
Hello, @erieenergy.
You must be able to install QuickBooks using the license number you had to your laptop as long as you haven't reached the maximum numbers of installation for your subscription.
Also, you need to install the server app on your laptop, then enable multi-user mode so you can access the QuickBooks Desktop file.
For additional reference about setting up the server in your personal computer and/or laptop, check out these links for the detailed instructions:

Trying to install QB on new computer using a flashdrive. It has installed up to 2021 but I can't get
up to today's date, and I've tried two different flashdrives...anyone have help??
Hello there, @Deltra.
I'll guide you on what you'll need to do to successfully install QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) on your new computer using a flash drive so you can manage your company file accordingly.
When your flash drive contains files from 64-bit QBDT 2022 or 2023, the migrator tool may stop unexpectedly once you run on a 32-bit Windows system. 64-bit QuickBooks files can only be migrated from one 64-bit system to another. With this, you'll have to make sure your new computer is connected to the internet and use a USB flash drive with enough free space to hold your QuickBooks files. The Migrator Tool will tell you how much free space you need. Most people need between 150 and 250 MB.
You can refer to this article for the complete guide in moving QBDT to another computer: Move or reinstall QuickBooks Desktop to another computer.
Also, you can set up QuickBooks Database Server Manager in QBDT to share your company files with other computers over your network. You may want to check out this article to learn more about this process: Install QuickBooks Database Server Manager.
Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have other installation concerns or questions about managing your company files in QBDT. I'm always ready to help. Take care, @Deltra.
