Can I change the background color of the desktop screen

There are many ways to customize in QuickBooks Online, but there isn't currently a way to change the display fonts. I can see how this would be a helpful feature to have. I'll do my part and pass your suggestion along to the Product Development Team.

What about QB Desktop - Colors ?

You can change the Desktop Color of QuickBooks file through the Preferences window. Let me show how you can change it.

Here’s how:

1. Go to the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
2. Select Desktop View.
3. In the Company file color scheme drop-down arrow, choose the color you like.
4. Click OK. 

Using the instructions above, you'll surely have the default color changed into the color you'd like.

I just purchased Quickbooks 2021, only reason being I wanted to get the Color Chantes, I cannot seem to find were to change the Ugly Blue on the home Page, everything else I can find were to change colors, can somebody answer this.

Currently, there isn't an option to change the color of the highlight on the home page.

You can only change the outline color of your company file.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Edit menu.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Select Desktop View from the list and then the My Preferences tab.
4. Select a color in the Company File Color Scheme drop-down menu.

I would like to see this option as well.  The light gray against the white background is very hard to see.

For the time being, the option to change the background color of your QuickBooks screen is unavailable, Linda. I'll provide more details about this and encourage you to send feedback or product recommendations to help improve the features and your experience with the platform.

Updating the color of your background screen is unavailable if you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO). If you have QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you can only update the color of your top icon bar through the Desktop View menu in the Preferences window. Please see the screenshot below for your reference.

We understand the advantages of the said feature for efficiently inputting and organizing your company data in QuickBooks. As it's not currently available, and we can't provide a timeline for its implementation, we suggest sharing your feedback.

For QBO, here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Select Feedback.
3. Type in your recommendation in the Share your feedback field.
4. Click Next.

For QBDT, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Help menu.
2. Choose Send Feedback Online.
3. Click on Product Suggestion.
4. Click on the drop-down for Type of Feedback and select Product Suggestion.
5. Select the Product Area.
6. Then enter your thoughts and suggestions.
7. Once done, select Send Feedback.
