Hello financialoffice,
Let me share some details about printing middle stock checks.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) lets you print using voucher and standard checks. Currently, we are unable to print middle stock checks.
Here's article for printing checks: How to print checks.
I've informed our Product Developers that you want to print middle check stocks. We want to know your thoughts on how we can improve QBO. Please send your suggestions by clicking the Gear icon and selecting Feedback (see screenshot below).
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm glad to help some more if you have other questions about QBO. Have a great day.
Hello,
If you mean check stock where it goes stub(top), check(middle), stub(bottom), then no. QuickBooks Online will only print voucher style checks where the check is on top and there are 2 stubs below.
(picture below)
Also, though you may be able to order check stock of this fashion from other sources, please keep in mind that the only check stock that Intuit GUARANTEES will work with QuickBooks are the check stocks that are ordered directly from Intuit.
I also need this. Could you remind the developers that this is a very-much needed option? Thanks!
Greetings, @Sabin.
I appreciate you for voicing out your suggestions here in the Community. Being able to print middle stock checks can be helpful to our customers.
I will pass this on to our engineers and let them know of your suggestions.
Don't hesitate to let me know if there's anything else you need help with. I'll only be a post away.
I need this as well. We just started using QuickBooks and never thought it could not use our current checks. This really is not acceptable.
Hi, @samca.

We'll make sure to take note of this and will inform you through this thread once we receive product enhancement update about the availability of this feature.

Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns. The Community team will always here to help you out. Have a good one.
Any updates on this thread? I am a brand new Quick Books on-line subscriber with 3000 center printed checks. I'm so disappointed.
What's available right now are still the voucher and the standard style, grae. We'll add your request to add options for middle check stocks.
I suggest finding an app that you can integrate to QuickBooks and has the option to print middle checks. You can search in the Apps Center through this link: https://apps.intuit.com/app/apps/home.
You can order checks with us for your transactions in the future.
If there's anything you want to know ask about QuickBooks, always visit us back through this thread.
Any update on this feature being added? We very much need it as well. Thank you!
Supported check stocks in QuickBooks Online are only Voucher and Standard styles, harper8.
I can see that similar feature requests have already been sent by my colleagues about adding more check style options.
Requests like this one are collected and reviewed by our engineers. The more request it gets, the more likely it will be added in future updates.
We'll send info about new features through email, pop-up notifications, or post them on The QuickBooks Blog site. All updates and newsletters are published here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/blog/.
Don't hesitate to visit us again should you need additional assistance when printing transactions in QBO. We're always here to offer our help.
I need this feature as well. Please add my request for QB to update this and allow laser checks with the check in the middle to be used. I too have a brand new supply of checks that I can not use and it is very disappointing.
??? Why is this not available? We really need this as well.
When you have 3000 pre-printed checks, it's not only disappointing to not be able to use them (any accounting software worth it's salt has the ability to create your own software), but it's COSTLY!!!
The pat answer here has been "we understand your need, but we can only print these styles at this time so buy your checks from Intuit and everything will be fine, we'll pass along your concerns to our engineers".
It's patronizing and does NOT solve the problem. I guess Intuit had a brilliant idea that if only two templates were provided, they could create an additional Profit Center by "forcing" their customers to purchase the checks from them. I switched from Sage (formerly Peachtree) because I had a beef with them regarding unethical practices. It seems that Intiuit is no different, but at least I could create my OWN check Template in Sage! Time to start investigating Sage again.
All the apps for check printing are for eCheck services, or for printing on blank stock, neither of which applies to me. I need the ability to create my own template. Sage (Peachtree) provides that ability, why can't Intuit/Quickbooks?
I need to print checks in the middle also. Any update??
I need this feature to be available in QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2018
Thanks for joining the thread, @gci_acc.
I know this feature would be handy for you and other users in Desktop as well, so I'm going to leave feedback to our Engineering Team too. This will ensure that the feature is considered for future updates. The more requests we have, the more likely the feature could be chosen for future updates. However, if the feature gets added, we'll comment back on this thread and make sure you and other users know when it's available.
I'm only a comment away if you have any other questions or concerns. Enjoy the rest of your day!
Please add me to the growing list of people who would like to be able to print middle checks.
Just curious if the middle check printing has become a feature yet or not. At first glance I do not believe it has but have a new client who is wanting to do this so trying to make sure I am not just missing something.
Hi, Melinda2019.
At this time, you can only print using vouchers and standard checks in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You'll want to search for an app that you can integrate through the App Center. Here's the link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/.
For your transactions in the future, you can order checks from us: Order Checks, Tax Forms, and Other Supplies.
Please touch base with us if there's anything that you want us to help. We'll always be around for you.
To print middle check stock in Quickbooks Online - rip off the top stub of the check and feed through the bypass tray in the printer. By doing this the printer now thinks that your middle check stock is a top check stock. Use up all middle check stock and don't buy it again.
This is such a easy fix for QuickBooks- but they won't do it because they want us to buy checks from them...
I will never buy checks from Intuit.....EVER.
You ( QuickBooks) need to start listening to your clients and giving them what they ask for especially when it is such a easy request.
Yes, this is completely unacceptable for Quickbooks to ignore so many customer requests! I am very sad about this. Come on! What a simple solution. Completely ridiculous! I need to print payroll checks TODAY and I have no way to do so now... :/
I am another dissatisfied new user who cannot use my middle stock checks. This should have been fixed years ago. Is there a way to print one check without the vouchers? I am able to do that in Quicken.
