Do you think enterprise is better suited for Wind.11?
They prioritized fixing the Enterprise edition running on Win 11 recently. To be honest, I still don't recommend running any edition of QB on Win 11.

Hello there, @KevinD3. Thanks for dropping your concern here in the Community. Let me give insights regarding QuickBooks Desktop 2021 (QBDT).
At present, note that QBDT can still be installed and reinstalled, and you can continue to use the product. However, starting from May 31, 2024, all QBDT 2021 software will be discontinued. You will no longer have access to live technical support or any other Intuit services that can be integrated with QuickBooks Desktop, including QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, QuickBooks Desktop Payments, and online bank feeds. Moreover, the discontinued versions won't receive the latest critical security patches and updates.
After the discontinuation, you can't access QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, Desktop Payments, live technical support, Online Backup, Online Banking, and other services through QuickBooks Desktop 2021. This also indicates that starting June 1, 2024, you won't receive crucial security updates that protect your data.
To know more regarding the discontinuation of QBDT 2021, feel free to scan this article: QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation policy.

Thanks for the response. I have my license. I download 2021 from the site , but it will not install on my new computer. I have windows 11. I have gotten errors 1712 and 1935.I've also tried the migration process.
Thanks.
Thank you for the additional details about your concern, @KevinD3.
I appreciate you for trying the migration process. Let me share more details and help you fix the error codes you encountered.
The error code 1935 shows up when you install or open QuickBooks Desktop after you install. Also, here are the possible reasons why you get the error code:
To fix it, you can perform the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.
If installation is successful, restart your anti-virus software. However, if the error occurs again, you can proceed with steps 3 & 4 in this article: Troubleshoot Error 1935.
On the other hand, Error 1712 when installing QuickBooks for Desktop is caused by one or more missing Windows components.
To fix it, you'll need to download and install the latest version of the QuickBooks Tools Hub and run the Quick Fix My Program from the QuickBooks Tools Hub. For the complete process, you can check out this article: Error 1712 when installing QuickBooks for Desktop.
Once you've successfully installed your QuickBooks Desktop, you can refer to this article in activating it: Activate QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.

Thanks for the reply. I tried your suggestions with no luck. The computer that I'm trying to install on is a new Dell that I installed the latest net.framework. Anti virus and firewall is off. Still installs to 65-75%. Still get the 1935 error. Not sure on how to check the status of net.framework.I do think it is something with this new computer. I suppose I could try an install on my wife's computer. That would tell me if it is a setting on my new one.
Anymore ideas? Thanks.
Another question , is Desktop 2021 compatible with Windows 11?
I appreciate you for performing the steps, KevinD3.
I'll share additional troubleshooting methods to resolve the error and ensure you can install QuickBooks Desktop on your new computer.
Let's activate the Selective Startup Mode on your computer. Enabling this mode loads selected programs required to run Windows and perform basic operations like installing an application.
Additionally, upgrading Windows can help resolve this issue. To do this, type "update windows" in the Start menu's search box. Click on the result and follow the on-screen prompts to update your operating system.
If the issue persists, I would recommend contacting our Quickbooks Support team to assist you further in resolving this.
Once installed, you can start activating QuickBooks Desktop.
You can count on me if you need further help installing QuickBooks or other relevant concerns. I'll be here to assist.
There seems to be a new Windows 11 Update that conflicts with QB Desktop this week. I noticed other posts about other error messages starting to appear. You'll need to install the trial version of QB Desktop 2021 Enterprise to compare.
No luck.
QB Desktop 2021 Enterprise?
An update. The install went perfectly on my wife's computer with Windows 10. I will try to use her computer for our Quickbooks. I know 2021 won't be supported but I don't use payroll or banking, just simple organization for my income and expenses. If you come across a Windows 11 fix let me know. Thanks again.
