Is it possible to send accountant changes from a newer version, say Quick-books 2015 for the client to restore them in an older version, for example Quick-books 2014.

Your responses will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks !

Welcome to the Community space, @Mendez3535. I'd be glad to help share information about accountant changes.

Yes, it's possible to send an accountant changes and still work on the Accountant's copy using a different version as long as the gap between the versions is just one year. Just make sure that your accountant has a more recent version of QuickBooks. For more details about this one, see the Use the Accountant's Copy article.

Thank you for your response.

Just to be sure it will work. I as the accountant will upgrade the Quick-books 2014, where I have all my changes I made for last year's closing of the books, to Quick-books 2015. Then, I will send the accountant changes to the client who is still using Quick-books 2014.

Just for your information, once the client has all the changes from the last year closing's, she is planning to buy the annual Quick-books 2022 license since the 2014 Desktop version  is no longer serviced by Intuit.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, Mendez3535!

Allow me to further assist you with the Accountant's Copy.

That is right! You can send the accountant's changes made from QuickBooks 2015 and let your client import it to the 2014 version. We always need to make sure that the gap between the versions is just one year, and the accountant has a more recent version.

It's also a good idea to upgrade to the latest version to stay up-to-date and be able to use other services and features. Please check this article to know more what are the new features available in QuickBooks Desktop 2022 and how to upgrade:

We'll be right here if you need more assistance with this. Good day!
