When using the autofill feature to enter bills -- how do I stop the total due from populating in the Category Details? It will put the total due there, then in the item details it fills in the PO info. I need the PO info. Just need to know if I can turn off the auto populate in the category details section.

Thanks for circling back to this thread and providing additional information about your concern, Falcon29108. I have details about how QuickBooks automatically fills in total amounts when using the PDF bill entry function.
The program populates data automatically based on the information provided in the bill. It fills the Category and Item details sections with the total amount as a starting point, assuming users will adjust these entries as needed.
While there's no direct option to prevent the automatic population of the total amount on either of these sections, you can consider entering a bill manually instead of the PDF import if that suits your needs.
Moreover, bills added manually appear directly in the Unpaid tab, and there's no need to review them. Hi there, @Falcon Boats.
When auto-recall is turned on, QuickBooks Online will automatically fill in the rest of the transaction (excluding the date) when you select a customer, supplier, or employee while entering bills, writing cheques, or entering credit card credit. Now, I'm here to show you how to turn this off.
Here's how:
By doing this, there will be no more previous information entered automatically when you create a new bill or any transaction. Feel free to turn this feature back if you prefer to.
Furthermore, you can also consider creating recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online. Recurring transactions saves you time by automatically creating transactions in an interval.
If you need more help with creating recurring transactions or have further concerns in QuickBooks Online, please feel free to ask. I'd be glad to help.
Thanks for the quick response but the question wasn't how to turn off the auto fill feature in regards to pre-filled forms. I am using the version of entering bills from a PDF. If the total of the bill being entered $102, QBO enters that total in the category details and that same total for the Item Details. I have to delete it from the Category Details section every time. How do I turn off that specific "part" of the bill from auto populating?
