Hi there, @ethanafford10-gm.
I'll surely step in to provide a couple of information about the Doing Business As (DBA) in QuickBooks Online.
A DBA enables you to conduct business using a name other than your legally recognized one. One of these forms must be filled out if you are "doing business as" under a name other than the one that is listed with your state's administrative office.
When you submit a DBA registration, you’ll also receive an EIN. It will then allow you to open a separate business bank account, providing more credibility to your company and helping you more easily manage your finances.
I'm also adding this page on how to proceed QB payments application: Set up and use QuickBooks Payments.
You can also utilize this video tutorial on how to take payments from your customer: How to Use QuickBooks Payments.
Furthermore, your customer will receive a link to make a direct payment when you email them the invoice. After seeing a list of options, they can choose one and enter their data. The first payments you make may take a little longer while we set up your accounts if you are unfamiliar with payments. Here's an article that explains why payment hold: Understanding Payment Holds in QuickBooks Online.
That should get you pointed in the right direction. Keep in touch with us if you have any questions. I’m more than happy to answer them for you. Wishing you and your business continued success!
