Chart of Accounts Report

Hi everyone - I am the treasurer for a club and use QB 2018 desktop.  I need to provide reports to all of my account holders - there are about 50.  The problem is that I have to customize the look of every single Chart of Accounts Report.  I don't need the 'split' column to be displayed, and then I have to manually adjust the size of the columns so that the report print correctly on a single page-width.  I have to make the 'memo' column wider so people can see what expenses were for.  Is there a way to make a new default report so that I don't have to manually do this 50 times?  Thank you!

Chart of Accounts Report

Hello there, @Bob56.

I can see how beneficial to have an option to make a new default report in QuickBooks Desktop. This way, you'll get the information you need and the right format for multiple reports from your Chart of Accounts. However, this option is unavailable.

QuickBooks Desktop gives us an option to memorize the reports. We'll have to manually do it for every report. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Company menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Open the account you want to run.
  4. Then, utilize the Customize button to make changes by adding the details need.
  5. Once done, click the Memorize button and enter the name of the report. Then, click OK.

Then, you can go to the memorized lists to open the customized report. You can follow these steps every time you need to review them.

  1. From the Reports menu, select Memorized Reports.
  2. Select Memorized Report List.
  3. Find the report from the list.

Also, you can check these resources. Each of them provides more tips and insights about handling reports.

I'm here if you have any other concerns about QuickBooks reports or need further assistance with anything in the program. Take care always.
