I can see how beneficial to have an option to make a new default report in QuickBooks Desktop. This way, you'll get the information you need and the right format for multiple reports from your Chart of Accounts. However, this option is unavailable.
QuickBooks Desktop gives us an option to memorize the reports. We'll have to manually do it for every report. Here's how:
- Go to the Company menu.
- Select Chart of Accounts.
- Open the account you want to run.
- Then, utilize the Customize button to make changes by adding the details need.
- Once done, click the Memorize button and enter the name of the report. Then, click OK.
Then, you can go to the memorized lists to open the customized report. You can follow these steps every time you need to review them.
- From the Reports menu, select Memorized Reports.
- Select Memorized Report List.
- Find the report from the list.
