Hello,
I have QuickBooks Online.
Today printing a deposit slip with 18 lines the "Deposit Summary" has changed to double spacing.
It printed single spacing on Monday as normal. Now on Wednesday, another deposit is double spaced and which then the Deposit prints on 2 sheets of paper. I am using the "Intuit Deposit Ticket" full page sheet. I opened up previous deposits and those are also now double spaced. I tried in two browsers, Chrome and Edge - same double spacing on the "Deposit Summary."
How do I change the "Deposit Summary" to back to singe spacing on the Deposit Ticket ?
Thank you,
Nikki
Hello there, 781.
Welcome to the Online Community. Updating or Repairing the Adobe Installation helps resolve printing problems you experience in QBO.
The process should only take a couple of minutes. To begin, visit this site to update the Adobe Reader: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/install-updates-reader-acrobat.html.
However, if you’ve already downloaded the latest version, let’s go ahead and repair it. Here’s how:
Restart your computer and log back into QBO. From there, try printing the deposit summary. If you continue to get the same result, open the company file using the incognito mode or private browser.
When you browse a website, it stores temporary data and the cache slows down the application’s performance. This can cause unexpected behavior in QBO.
If you’re able to print the deposit summary with the correct spacing, clear the cache of your regular browser. This will improve the overall performance of the application.
For future reference, let me share this guide with different links on how to troubleshoot common printing problems: Fix QuickBooks Online printing issues on browsers for Windows.
Stay in touch if you need assistance while working in QBO. Please know I’m always here to help and make sure you’re taken care of. Have a good one.
Hello,
Thank you for your help.
None of the solutions you listed worked to get the "Deposit Summary" back to single spacing.
I cleared the cache in 3 browsers.
Viewed the deposit summary in incognito browsers.
I repaired Adobe Reader.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe reader.
All with restarts between each.
Deposit Summary is doubled spaced.
SInce I have QBO - I checked the deposits several computers. All 3 different computers the "Deposit Summary" are also double spaced.
The reason the double spacing is a problem: The deposit summary is to long and so the deposit is listed on 2 pages instead of the one deposit ticket (bought from Intuit).
Hello there, 781.

This issue has not been resolved. Please don't close the case.
The problem of double spacing on "Deposit Summary" still exists. Which makes 2 page deposit slips. Not very helpful when giving to the bank.
I spoke with an agent via the chat and I shared the screen with her. I showed the agent previously printed "deposit summaries" with single spacing for one page deposit tickets. Then I showed the agent the same deposit brought up after the problem started, now printing with the double spacing.
The agent could not resolve the problem so she said she would send to the engineers.
I received an email that said you were closing this case. I would like the spacing to revert back to single on the deposit summaries so I can once again have one page deposit slips.
Thank you.
Thank you for getting back to us, @781.

I am also experiencing this problem and have not been able to find a solution. Please let me know if QBO is able to solve this.
Hey there, dona322.
I checked our records here and found out that this investigation has already been closed. We can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to fix this. It could be that the stored cache in the system is the reason why the spacing in the Deposit Summary is doubled.
Let's start with accessing your QuickBooks account through a private browsing window. This will help us determine if this is a browser-related issue since this mode doesn't save site data and cache files. You can press Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome, Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox, and ⌘ + Shift + N for Safari web browser.
Once you're in, let's try to print the Deposit Summary again. If the spacing looks good, we'll have to go back to your normal browser and perform a clear cache to clean up your system. Doing this process will also enhance your browsing experience.
We can also use the other supported browsers to isolate the issue. Please check out our supported browsers below:
If the issue still persists, after doing the steps above, I recommend calling our technical supports. This, way we'll be able to pull up your account and run some tests to rectify this issue. Here's how to connect with us:
Please check out our support hours below to ensure that we address your concerns on time:
Let me know how it goes in the comment section, as I want to ensure that your Deposit Summary will be printed in single spaces.
I tried to get help via the online chat. The agent also could not figure out why the deposit slip now prints double spaced.
I was advised to call Intuit. I just have way to much to do so I have not been able to call.
QB still has the double spacing on the deposit slips.
Thank you for the quick reply, @781.
To isolate the problem you're having, you can try using other supported browsers when trying to print deposit slips in QuickBooks Online. Or, use other printers when printing.
If you're getting the same error, I encourage contacting our Support Team as suggested above to check and review this further securely. To contact, tap on Contact us from the Help menu.

Hello Angelyn_T
Here is my update as I had some time to call Intuit this afternoon - I also had help with an agent via chat last week. Both agents did share my screen in QBO.
In my original post for help:
I cleared the cache in 3 browsers.
Viewed the deposit summary in 3 incognito browsers.
I repaired Adobe Reader.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe reader.
Since I have QBO - I checked the deposits several computers. All 3 different computers the "Deposit Summary" are also double spaced.
The deposit slip set up does not allow a person to alter spacing distance in the "Deposit summary" - Both agents checked to see if there was a setting for spacing.
I was advised to call and finally had some time today which ended up as a good timing. Other folks are now starting to report the problem of double spaced summaries on the deposit tickets. I was advised to wait and see if there will be a fix in time.
Thats about it for now. Just have to wait for a fix :)
Thanks for the response, @781.
I'm happy to hear that you were able to find some answers to your issue with double-spaced summaries on the deposit slip. Our Engineering Team is working to correct this behavior, so you'll have a fix soon.

Any update on when this will be fixed? What started it? An update in QB online?
Trish
Welcome back to Community, @th2020.
Other users have recommended that trying a private browser and clearing the cache resolved the issue.
Unexpected issues in QuickBooks Online are sometimes affected by the large data in the cache. Browser troubleshooting often fixes it.
Use these keyboard shortcuts depending on your browser to launch a private window:
Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
Safari: press Command + Shift + N
Try printing the deposit slip again. If it works, go back to regular browsing then clear the cache.
However, if the issue persists after trying all the troubleshooting, please call our QBO Care Team to start a new investigation for this issue. Here’s how:
You can also seek self-help articles for future reference.
Please feel free to comment below if you have further questions. I would appreciate the opportunity to help you with your concerns.

I still have the same double spacing on the deposit slip summary. My deposit slips still are 2 pages long with the continued double spacing programming. This has not been fixed yet.
Important note: I have used multiple computers, multiple browsers. The QBO deposit slip set-up does NOT allow line spacing changes in the "deposit summary."
I order Intuit Deposit slip Item #1021.
Look on this link for purchasing "Printable Deposit Slips"

It shows the "Deposit Summary" printing in single spacing!

Hello, @781.
I appreciate you for sharing complete details about your concern. Since you're still having issues with printing deposit slips, let me route you to the best available support. This way, we can request for a formal investigation to further look into the root cause of this recurring issue.
Here's how:
Due to the ongoing pandemic, we have limited staffing and have reduced our support hours to 6 AM-6 PM PT Monday-Friday. For more detailed information about the support we offer at Intuit and its availability, you can browse this article: Support hours and types.
Also, just a heads-up, screenshots with your personal information are removed from the Community space for security purposes.
The Community always has your back and would also be happy to help with your questions as well. I’m just a few clicks away should you need anything.
I've read this entire string of posts. I too am experiencing double-spaced deposit summaries. Quickbooks has NOT addressed this issue and keeps posting the same unhelpful instructions. Quickbooks Online is the WORST decision we have ever made in online software purchases. Please stop wasting people's time in advising to contact support. Your program clearly has a problem and Quickbooks needs to fix it - not the consumer.
Yes, this is ridiculous.
This is an ongoing, known issue and QB is doing absolutely nothing to fix it, other than making users jump through hoops that QB knows won't fix the problem.
Really - Intuit removed the screen shot of Intuit's Deposit Ticket from Intuits website where you order from Intuit.
Here is the link for Intuits order page for the full page deposit slips that shows Intuit's Deposit Tickets printing the Deposit Summary in single spacing. This is what us, QBO users, would like returned that the QBO programs removed on January 2020.

My deposit slips that printed beautifully last year....are useless in 2020....I've gone through these trouble shooting options too....online chat/calls are useless....fix this please...Or take the option away so I don't waste hours of my time trying to make it work.
I totally agree. It is a waste of time trying to work around this and QB support is useless. I have done numerous feedback posts, to no avail. Also, have added it to a chat that I needed to do. To work around it, I put the deposit slip into my printer differently and choose both sides and flip up to get the rest of the summary to print on the back of the summary portion of the deposit slip, not the deposit slip itself. I agree, with what you pay for QBO, they need to "get it together"!
