I specifically need Desktop Pro 2024, not Plus.  Is the Desktop Pro 2024 available through a partner?

Why do you need to upgrade to 2024? Do you still need to run any add-ons after May 2024? e.g QB Payroll, QB Payment

For now, I would like to avoid subscription licensing.  It is preferable to own the software without paying fees.  Upgrading to Desktop Pro 2024 should give me a 3-year license and support.  I would not have any add-on's such as payroll or payment.  From what I've read so far, I do not have to upgrade to 2022 or 2023 in order to upgrade to 2024.  Would you be able to tell me if the following link is for subscription licensing?  Or will this link allow me to download and upgrade the software?

How does one go about purchasing the license for QB Desktop Pro?

As I'm reading, I find more questions than answers.  Can QB Desktop PRO 2024 be purchased from Intuit and if so, how much is it and how does one purchase a license?  If the download link is only for Desktop Pro Plus, then are are you saying PRO is no longer being sold?

I too do not want to go online or use a subscription service.  I own a small business and do not need all the features or cost of online subscriptions.

I have QBdesktop pro plus 201 with QB enhanced payroll - will i have payroll support with desktop 2024?  Or do I have to switch to online? I prefer not to switch to online, but I will need the payroll support.

They will support QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus/Premier Plus + Enhanced Payroll until 2027. How many employees do you have?

I use payroll for 3 employees and I use bank feeds.  My understanding is that these won't be supported as of May 2024.  I'm looking into using another payroll service and importing  it into QB or just switching to a new accounting software completely.  I don't like where QB is going.

You can use your QB Desktop 2021 + a stand alone payroll app. Then you will register your payroll expenses as JE in QB Desktop.

The potential problem is the bank feed feature after May 2024. You can download .qbo files from your bank BUT you can't import directly into your QB Desktop. If your bank provides *.csv files, you will need to use a 3rd party tool to import it into QB Desktop. It's a $199 one time license and you can get $100 cashback to purchase the license from a partner.

See the issue everyone has, including myself, is we DO NOT WANT a subscription based version. For many of us it is not necessary. You suggesting to contact sales to "discuss" options when clearly there isn't one other than a subscription. is sort of useless. 

I get that it's a great cash cow for intuit or whomever owns them now but a monthly charge for this software, that software (i.e. Windows 365), internet service, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, etc. etc. ends up costing the user thousands of dollars a year. I know that makes Intuit very rich but does nothing for small business or home users. 

If there was another version of accounting software I would buy it in a minute. As it stands now I'll keep my out of date version forever. As long as it is working it's good enough for me. Bells and whistles I don't need. Functioning software I do.

Why do you have to upgrade from QB Desktop 2021? You can use it for good.

Because I have Desktop Pro 2018 and email no longer works. I wanted to get the last version before Quickbooks went totally subscription. Doesn't seem that is going to happen. So, it's an extra step to send an invoice but I'll have to live with that I guess. 

Beware of scams on Amazon. They just got me advertising 2021 Desktop Pro 3 user. Yeah they sent an electronic version oddly enough linked to the Quickbooks download site. The license number and product code worked to activate the product however it turns out it does not show up in my account purchases and it is for ONE user only. Hoping I can recover the cost with one of the various "protections" offered by Paypal and/or Amazon.
