I should have have read these comments before I fell for the Quickbooks Cash Account con!!! They are sitting on my money and I can't change it back to where I receive money to my regular business account! I'm going to have to cancel Quickbooks altogether I guess! "Support" is non-existent!
QB Cash is a giant rip off. Why would I need to set up the SAME bank account I have been using for months to receive payments into AGAIN to transfer money to? I had no idea this would stop sending money directly to my bank and now I'm bouncing checks because I can't get MY MONEY out of QB CASH. They never sent me a card!!!! DON'T USE QB CASH AND DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND DON'T USE QUICKBOOKS!!
They have made it all but impossible for me to switch the deposits back to my previous bank account. I think it's intentional.

Same story. Was told I would save on fees - but in actuality, it costs me MORE fees as I pay all the fees as
before - PLUS an extra fee to transfer the money to my main account.
Diaster.
Now I want to cancel it - but Quickbooks says I need to call GreenDot - which I obviously did not need to do to sign up and Greendot says I need to call Quickbooks. Really terrible terrible experience. I hate it so much.
As far as calling the number on the back of the QB Cash Debit Card, they are absolutely Useless. Just is this Cash Account. DON'T DO IT. Do not utilize Quickbooks Cash Account. It is a 3rd party operation and nearly impossible to cancel this account as they continually make excuses for not closing the account. I've been trying for weeks to cancel this account as it is useless for me. I have larger CC payments and QB Cash cant handle the larger payments. Thus, causing a verification nightmare and weeks before I receive my money.

This is my experience as well. Green Dot can’t hep and QB says to talk with Green Dot.
We have money in the account, but all transactions are being denied. But no one can explain why.
oh and they say if a customer pays online you will have the funds immediately, not even close, most time 25 hours later, which is the same as if it went to my external account. And the fees are astronomical for QuickBooks cash.

Let me turn the table around by addressing the points you've raised.
If you haven't received your card, like DHillConst, please wait for 7-10 business days since the day you signed up for QuickBooks Cash. It will be delivered by mail, and from there, you can cancel your account.
Please note that your account must have a zero balance before you can request for cancellation. Therefore, you might as well transfer your remaining money to your external bank account or withdraw it in the ATM before calling Green Dot Bank to cancel it. You can find their number at the back of the card.
Transferring money out of your QuickBooks Cash account may take 2-5 business days, depending on how fast your external bank processes it.
About the funding timeframe of customer payments, you'll get instant deposits if you signed up for this service, and the deposits are processed via request or based on the schedule you set. Any requests made before 3 PM PT will be processed within 30 minutes or depending on your bank (if you use an external bank). Any requests made after 3 PM PT will be processed at the normal speed, which is 1-2 business days.
About the denied transactions, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payments Support again. That way, they can gather more data and report this scenario.

Thank you for “turning the table”. However my problem still remains. Yes we have the debit card, that is how I know things are being declined.
I do have “instant pay” turned on and it still can take up to 24 hours and if the payment is on a Friday, I may not see the money until Tuesday and QB does not supply customer service on the weekend.

Why is my payroll debit showing as a negative number on my Cash quickbooks account? It should be under my bank account. I just started with Quickbooks this week.

I'll ensure your payroll transactions are accounted for properly. The Checking account may not be set up as the default bank account that's why payroll deductions are shown in the QuickBooks Cash account.
Let's go to Payroll Settings and change the bank account to fix this. I'll show you how.

I have spent several hours on this. Trying to CLOSE this account.!!! I have had to get an old employee that hasn’t worked here for 4 years, involved. Our accountant has tried to close this account two times. We have gotten it closed 2 times, with a receipt saying it is closed, only to have it reopened the next day. I am so frustrated!!!! I did Not sign up for this account...it just appeared on my Dashboard and a debit card with an old employees name on it. It Hijacks any payments and I have to jump through hoops to get it transferred into my real bank. DO NOT get involved with this!!!. I am so upset I am looking for another accounting system.
The only thing I have accomplished with posting on this, is finding out that I am not crazy!!! Others are having the same problem with this!!!!... I just want to CLOSE this account. How hard can it be!!!????? QuickBooks needs to do something about this NOW!!!!

I ended up filing a complaint with the feds on this. Surprisingly I actually did get follow up from them and an investigation was opened. Green Dot was surprisingly willing to give me all my money back at that point. As with many people on this thread, I never received the debit card even after requesting it multiple times. And the only reason I requested it was so that I could close the account. It took almost two weeks for me to finally get my money out. Utterly ridiculous. QB should sever ties with this company before they bring you down.
This is such a bad system. They forced it on us and then refuse to close it!!!!.
How did you file your complaint with the FEDS?
This does not work. Called them and they said they can not close out the account. It has a zero balance. They also said they would email information on how to proceed. Which we still have not received. We did not open the account. Told it happens easily. Now we can't close out of.
Sounds like a scam to me.
you can except payments into your checking account. You do not have to have this other account.
