Hello there, @editfred.

Thank you for bringing to the Community space. I understand that you're facing challenges with printing or downloading the annual invoices. I'm here to assist you in resolving this matter.

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to see whether the issue is with the browser. It can be due to outdated or corrupt cache files in your web browser. Start by opening an incognito window on your QBO account. Based on your browser type, please refer to the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If this works, clear your browser's cache. Use one of these links depending on your browser:

Additionally, you can visit this link if you're having trouble with your recurring transactions: Fix failed recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online.

If you need further assistance with managing invoices, please let us know. We're always here to help. Have a great day!

One more issue: How do I get the transaction to migrate to next year?

How do I fix error message: Authentication failed.

Hi there, editfred.

I'm happy to know that my colleague was able to help you with your first concern.

With regards to your second issue, may I know what transactions you're trying to migrate? Also, may I know what you're referring to next year? Any additional information will help me provide the best resolution for your concern.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Recurring transactions are all invoices sent to customers once a year for the same amount. I've chosen the interrval to be one year. In QB Desktop, in Memorized Transactions, the Invoices were automatically dated one year later and put back in the queue.

Thank you for providing additional information about your recurring transactions, editfred.

In this case, when you migrate your QuickBooks Desktop company file to QuickBooks Online, the recurring invoices will also be transferred.

Once the migration is complete, you'll need to review and recreate the recurring invoices in QuickBooks Online. It's important to note that while the conversion tool will transfer your recurring invoices, there may be some differences in how they are set up and managed in QuickBooks Online compared to QuickBooks Desktop. I recommend reviewing and adjusting your recurring invoice settings in QuickBooks Online to ensure they are set up correctly.

You can create recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online by following these steps:

  1. Go to the + New button and select Invoice.
  2. Enter the necessary information for the invoice, such as the customer, products/services, and amount.
  3. Click on the Make recurring option at the bottom of the invoice.
  4. Set the recurrence interval to Yearly and choose the appropriate options for the start date, end date (if applicable), and other settings.
  5. Hit the Save button to save the recurring invoice template.

By recreating your recurring invoices in QuickBooks Online, you can ensure that they are automatically generated and sent to your customers on an annual basis. I've added this article for more details about the setup: Create recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online.
