How to Connect QuickBooks 2021 to OutLook 2019

I have been frustrated by this problem for some time, so I REALLY want to know, is QuickBooks 2021 compatible with Outlook 2019?  Both of these products are installed locally, that's the way is worked on Win 7, what has happened?

When experiencing issues with Microsoft Office 365, there's a few things you'll want to check. I'd be more than happy to guide you through each of these processes.
 

Initially, I'd recommend confirming it's updated to its latest release.
 

Here's how:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Access your File tab.
  3. Click Office Account.
  4. Hit About Outlook and review the information to see if you're using their latest release (build 12527.20242).
  5. If you're using an outdated version, be sure to choose Update Options, then select Update Now.
  6. Return to QuickBooks and try to send a test email to yourself.


In the event you encounter problems when using Microsoft's latest release, you'll want to make sure Outlook's set up to work with your books:

  1. Contact the internet or email provider to obtain your username, password, incoming email server address, incoming email server type, and outgoing email server address, then access the Edit menu in QuickBooks.
  2. Click Preferences and Send Forms.
  3. Select Outlook, then press OK.

  1. Thank you for the reply.  I am using Version 2105 (Build 14026-20308 Click to Run).

Yes I can email myself.

Outlook is missing from the Send Form Preferences.  The link to Fix Outlook does not appear has not helped, Ive tried it three times already.

Can you please tell me what activates the OutLook option in the Send Forms Preferences?

How to Connect QuickBooks 2021 to OutLook 2019

Hello there, Win10 with Fusion.

 

I can share the possible reasons why Outlook is missing as one of your options:

 

  • You're using a QuickBooks version that doesn't support Outlook.
  • There's an issue with Outlook installation.
  • Your profile is not set up in Microsoft Outlook.
  • Outlook is not the default email program.
  • Your QuickBooks is hosted on the Cloud and your service provider doesn't have Office installed as a hosted application.

Ensure both QuickBooks Desktop and Outlook are updated. You can also try to check out this Microsoft article to help your repair and detect issues with your Outlook. Then, connect your email id again using these steps: 

 

  1. Click Edit from the menu and select Preferences.
  2. From the left menu, click Send Forms.
  3. Select Add
  4. Enter your Email Id and select Outlook as the Email Provider
  5. Click OK.

I also suggest that every time you try a solution from the Fix Outlook is missing in send forms preferences article, you look into your Send Forms preferences if the option is already available.
