How to push JournalCreditLine entries under Deposit Column

Hello there, jayantsr. Thanks for including a screenshot.

We can go ahead and make a bit changes to the entries you've created to correct the posting and record the credit line under the Deposit column. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Company menu and select Make General Journal Entries.
  2. Click Find under Main Tab.
  3. Enter the date when the entries are created, the amount, or the name of the customer.
  4. Then, hit Find.
  5. If you've made multiple entries on that period, choose the correct one.
  6. Make sure to add the amount in the Debit column on where you want it to post it.
  7. Click Save& Close.

Once done, let's go back to the register and double-check if it has been changed. You can take a look at the screenshot below. I've only used sample accounts:

Also, you can reach out to your accountant for further advice and information about handling entries in QuickBooks Desktop. This ensures that everything will be recorded accurately. Lastly, you can use the articles below for additional guides when adjusting entries within your company file:

How to push JournalCreditLine entries under Deposit Column

I am doing this using Web Connector. So is it possible with that or I have to do it from QB Desktop app?

How to push JournalCreditLine entries under Deposit Column

Good Morning, @jayantsr

Thanks for reaching back out to the Community. I hope your week is going well so far.

To successfully execute the instructions that my colleague provided above, you'll need to be in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account. The QuickBooks Web Connector is used for imports only. Here are two articles that can give some more information on this matter:

Let me know if this helps. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to ask. I'm always here to lend a helping hand. Best wishes!
