The issue about QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) asking if you're an Admin or not is currently under investigation (INV-44191). Rest assured, our Product engineers are working hard for a fix to get you back up and running.
Meanwhile, we can reset the Internet Explorer (IE) to the default to load the pages correctly. Please note that doing this may affect some third-party apps that uses IE. Here's how:
- Click the Gear icon ⚙️ at the top right part.
- Choose Internet options.
- Select the Advanced tab, and then click Reset at the bottom.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to restart IE or the computer if necessary.
- Open QBDT again, and then log in to your company file.
Also, I recommend contacting our QBDT Support team so you'll be added to the notifications' list. I'll guide you how:
- Go to the Help menu, and then select QuickBooks Desktop Help or press F1 on your keyboard.
- Click the Contact Us button.
- Type your issue or question on the search box like "INV-44191", and then tap Search to continue.
- Choose either the Get a Callback or Start Messaging options.
