i have a contractor that needs copies of their 1099 from 2019 and 2020. How can I reprint these from QB? The comments left in this feed are not helpful

You can get a copy of your previous year's 1099s if you've filed it through our 1099 E-file service, you can log in to your account and print a copy from there.

Did you ever get an answer to this? I need to print totals for 2020 and the report screen won't allow me to customize any other date except for 2021...irritating.
and I did not use the efile service, I filed myself.
Hello, ACarterNH.
Yes, that's correct. The option to customize the date if you print the 1099 totals under the Prepare 1099s screen is unavailable. As a workaround, you can run 1099 Transaction Detail Report, 1099 Contactor Balance Details, or 1099 Contactor Balance Summary to see the 1099 totals, account, amounts, and other details. I'll show you how.
You can also get a copy of those 1099 forms from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for the year 2020.
I've included this article for more details: Understand which contractors need 1099s.

Does anyone know if Intuit has any plans to allow users to choose which calendar year to run the report? There was a mistake in the prior year and the IRS is asking for corrected forms. Without the option to choose a prior year, I will have to hand write each corrected 1099, which will be time consuming. It seems an easy option for Intuit to add. Is there a way to request this from them? thx.
