I purchased QuickBooks yesterday. I started to play around with it to learn, but now I've made a mess. How do I reset so I can start fresh?

How do I reset my account to start fresh? I tried the 'Purge Company' option but it doesn't work for me. I purchased QB yesterday.

If you are using QBO Simple Start, you are unable to purge it. Open a new blank account instead.

Are you saying cancel that subscription and pay for a brand new account?

Yes, you're right. Since QuickBooks Online Simple Start doesn't have a purge option, you can cancel the subscription and create a new account to start over. Also, you can sign up for QuickBooks Online Simple Start using your existing Intuit account or use a different account if you want.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to this link to see the plans and pricing: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/#.
  2. Select Simple Start and click Buy Now.
  3. You can create a new Intuit account. If you want to use the existing one, click the Sign in hyperlink next to Adding a company to an existing account? at the bottom.
  4. Enter your billing details and complete the setup.

 

You can also contact our Customer Support Team. They can transfer the subscription, so you don't have to pay for the new account. 

 

To get started, open your QuickBooks Online account, then follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Help icon, then choose the Talk to a human option (then type it again when prompted).
  2. When asked by the bot, type in a short description of your concern.
  3. Select I still need a human.
  4. Proceed with Contact us.
  5. Click Let’s talk, then tap on Get a callback.
  6. Type in your contact info.
  7. Select Confirm my call.
