In qbo plus, I entered a new project and assigned it to a customer. Then I entered an estimate for that customer. When I go to that customer, and click on the projects tab, the project is shown. However, when I view the transaction list tab, the project field is blank (i.e. the project name/number is not listed).
How do I get the project name/number to appear?
Also, when I go to projects, click on the project name, and click on transaction list, the estimate is not listed.
How do I get the estimate to be listed on the project transaction list?
Thanks.
I have figured out a small part of this . . . going in to the existing estimate and selecting the project in the customer name field.
However, for some reason, new projects added are not showing up in that customer list immediately.
What finally triggers that?
The project number now shows as well.
Series delay between adding a project and the entire system recognizing it/combining its parts.
I know that this is a new feature, so I hope that this time lag can be significantly improved, and function as quickly as the remainder of the software.
"However, for some reason, new projects added are not showing up in that customer list immediately.

For some reason, it always takes a few seconds to show up in that customer parent list. You can refresh the page or go back to the dashboard and select Projects again.
Maybe they need to fix this glitch.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, @tamimd67,
I personally want to add projects without delay especially on busy days.
I'd like to share the steps you can apply to improve the performance while working with your projects.
You can clear cache and cookies to boost browser-related issues. Some stored data on your browser can impact the data being transmitted, thus causing some unusual responses.

Listen. This has nothing to with "clearing cache and cookies" steps.
THIS IS A GLITCH IN PROJECTS SETUP.
If you have the sample demo file (probably you do), try it yourself. You will learn more...thank you and have a great day!
I have cleared cache and cookies and am still having this lag and we are now a year later from the initial complaint. Has there been a fix for this glitch/lag yet. Very frustrating when I am trying to work and info I need is not populating in a timely manner.
Thank you for posting here, @garbinski6813.

I'm having the same issue, two years after the initial complaint. I spoke with a representative earlier today for 1 hour and 35 minutes on another issue only to be informed it was a product limitation. Is this issue also a product limitation? Seems like all this could be done in a spreadsheet much quicker than Quick Books!
I appreciate you contacting our Live Support Team and for sharing your concerns about projects, user46.
I've got some steps to help show projects on the customer's transactions list. You need to enable the Project column to see the name on the Transaction List tab. Please see the attached screenshot below for your visual guide.
On the customer's list, you also need to enable the Include projects from the settings.
When I also check the estimate for a project, the transaction appears on the Transactions tab.
You can clear the browser's cache and cookies to isolate the issue. Or use other supported browsers and check the project name from there.
Follow the steps to clear cache for your browser:
If you're getting the same results, I suggest getting back in touch with our Live Support Team. They can create a case under your account and investigate the issue.
