Anyone else seeing an absurd pricing change from 2022 ($499) to 2023 ($799)? I wish I could raise my fees like that.
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can buy a new license at a discounted price from selected partners/reseller if needed. QBD 2023 Premier for one user = $650.
I see where you're coming from, @2plus2. As a customer myself, I know the importance of funds when running a business, especially in today's situation.

The reply gives an option to Cheer (like) or Reply. There's no way I can like a 60% increase. That's usury and unfortunately there is no product that comes close to QB Desktop. Even QBO is a distant solution.
So I will continue after 16 years to use QB and look forward to my retirement. Expenses increases to a core product needed for my business will make it sooner rather than later.
And surprises like this will make it difficult to recommend the product. "Yes, QB Desktop is great, but they will raise the price unexpectedly and unreasonably."

Hello again, Fiat Lux - ASIA.
I appreciate you for always sharing your knowledge about QuickBooks. This will definitely help other users as well in the future. Please keep on posting here in the Community.
Keep safe and have a great rest of the day.
I would probably sign up again if Intuit had limited their increase to a fair amount based on CPI.
I object, however to "added value" increase of over 60%. They have the right to do so, but I have the right to change not only my software but have already targeted a competitor that can provide features at a substantially lower cost to the majority of my clients. Wake up, Intuit, or you will drop your heavy market share.
There has to be another product we can use that cares about it customers to not screw them with unreasonable price increases.
PRICE GOUGING AT ITS FINEST! THANKS, INTUIT FOR PLAYING THE GAME... SO ANNOYING. When are people going to learn that greed gets you nowhere!
What the heck ?? 799.00 is out of this world
Hello Intuit, I'd like to say first of all, I love you guys and I am wearing my QB sweatshirt to prove it. But....I was completely surprised to see my email receipt for $799.00 today. It's was under $400.00 a year ago so what happene? Did somebody get a raise? good; Not me. I immediately called support to see if there was a product number change or if there were some new perks but no-thing. You would think since I don't use the your complicated payroll there would be a break. 90% of the time I'm the one that solves the problems when calling support. They're learning from me. Again, I love you guys but dont have time to waste with the dinosaur technology increase. I pay over $300 a month for the online services for my clients so is that going to increase also? Can somebody let me know if I need to do something different besides the PAP Premiere software bundle? I'm expanding my business this year and need to make money not increase expenses. Feel free to mail me any free products or apparel so I can contiune promote you and my business.
Thank in advance -S
If you are working solo on a desktop (PC or Mac) to manage your book and only need basic features, you should explore a free program. You can use the program for as long as you like, use all the features and enter as much data as required. There are no time limits, no usage limits, no ads (at this time). This program is quite popular in Asia and Europe.
Fiat Lux, thank you for your reply. I have thought about that but really like the Intuit partnership. QUICKBOOKS is a major part of my business but they need to offer more so we can grow together. It’s about being loyal regardless of cost in hopes there’s a return. Will I continue to be a loyal customer to intuit, most likely. Again, thank you for your reply.

Yes, I just received my billing and this is absurd! What are we getting for this? A copy of QBs desktop? I hardly ever call for support and never use any of the so-called client pricing discounts! What are they thinking?
Thanks for your response but I’ve been usually QBDT (as you refer to the desktop software) for more than 30 years, maybe even closer to 40 years. Since it started. QBs has NEVER incorporated any suggestions for upgrades that I’ve put forward, the Banking section is still in the same horrible shape it was in from the beginning and I’m still researching the links you’ve provided to see what changes Intuit could have possibly made which could possibly justify a 60% increase in their pricing!
I’ve been using QBD for many years in my practice, but the $799 is unjustifiable. Intuit is hoping the price increase will push everyone to transition to QBO. News flash - I’m out!
I have to agree. Everything Intuit has done in the last few years is to push clients to their QBO product. If they would expend half as much energy on fixing QBO so it is worth converting to, than trying to force people away from a solid product that has worked well for many years, they might see an organic switch. It's sad to see. I too have been using QBDT in my bookkeeping practice for 15 years and these price increases are going to push me out of business because I cannot in good conscience recommend the QBO product to more than a handful of clients. It simply cannot provide the features needed by the majority of my clients. May have to retire early.
Hey Everyone,
So, I need some help. What is this PAP Premiere Bundle? I saw the charge of 800 something with the "renewal" and I'm like ok, I've never paid $800 and I certainly didn't last year. The only thing different I did last year was I bought the new version of QB Desktop Premier Accountant Version for 2022. So, can any of you explain what the bundle is? Is it different than desktop? Is it different than QB Online accountant version?
Thanks everyone.
PAP stands for Pro Advisor Program. You can opt for the Premier or Enterprise level.
In addition to software, you have a variety of benefits that go along with membership.
Thanks for getting involved with this thread, dswazes.
A PAP Premiere Bundle would be our ProAdvisor Premier Software Bundle.
This bundle currently includes the following:
If you never subscribed to this bundle, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research into which products you have on the account, and go over your options with you.
They can be reached while using QuickBooks.
Here's how:
Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
I've also included a detailed resource about ProAdvisor bundle license changes which may come in handy moving forward: Announcing changes to QuickBooks products & pricing + QuickBooks Desktop FAQs
Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have an awesome day!
Plus now they seem to be outsourcing support and if you have errors in your file(s) they charge $1,800 for 24 months! Small bookkeeping businesses cannot afford this! There are other payroll and bookkeeping softwares out there who don't charge such exorbant fees.
Outsourcing support? Which phone number did you call?
I have just found out that this is a hoax and have a call into QB. I am sorry for the error Like everyone else here, I do hope QB will not make such huge increases as so many of us bookkeepers in rural areas cannot afford it because we can't just go up on our clients to help absorb it.
