Is there a way to populate time sheets with the shifts from the schedule and then track planned vs worked hours when it's time for approval?

The point is that we want to plan the week on Mondays, adjust in real time when shifts change, and have all that information show up in the time sheets, so that we don't have to redo all this work if someone didn't clock in or out.

Is there a way to populate time sheets with the shifts from the schedule and then track planned vs worked hours when it's time for approval?

Automating the process of modifying your employee's scheduled hours into their actual hours worked is not an option in QuickBooks (QB) Timesheets or QB Online, Blurtram. We can only handle this matter manually in your timesheets.

For this, let me help you submit a feature recommendation to let our developers know about the significance of this function for your business operations. I'll share the steps below for the QB Online or QB Timesheets account.

If you're using the QB Timesheets:

  1. Click the Question Mark icon (?).
  2. Select Suggest Idea.
  3. Enter your feature request in the designated field.
  4. Once done, hit Send Idea.

If you have QB Online and want to submit the feedback from there:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your product suggestions in the designated field.
  4. Once done, hit Next to submit.

Moreover, it is efficient to let your employees clock in and out accurately to reflect accurate records. Otherwise, you'll have to adjust their plotted hours manually.
