Does QuickBooks have a function where I can look at a map of my city and see all the customers I’ve entered into the data base  geographically?

Hi there, Upholsteryguy.

There isn’t a feature that allows you to see the location of your customers in your city based on their addresses in QuickBooks. This would be a great feature though. I’ll personally suggest this to our product development team. I’d also encourage you to do the same thing by going to the Gear icon and selecting Feedback.

Feedback is important to us. This is a way of letting us know about the features you want to see in QuickBooks.

If you have other questions in mind, you can always go back this thread.

The feature exists on my iPad version but it doesn’t work. When searching customers it has an option to list or to view on a map (map point symbol). When the map is selected an error message pops up. “Hmm...something’s wrong. Check the address.”  I’ve checked the addresses; I’ve tried single addresses; I’ve spent hours on support trying to explain that it exists and no one gets it. This is not the feature that gives directions to a customer, it is the ability to view customer locations on a map. I know QuickBooks intends to make this work some day! It would be hugely useful to my mobile business and I’m sure to many others as well as sales people. QuickBooks please flip the switch to make it work!

Hey there, @AnniesBirdGrooming.

The ability to view a customer's location is available when using the QuickBooks Online app. Since you already tried changing to a single address. I suggest you perform additional basic troubleshooting.

You can start with resetting the data in your mobile app. Here's how:

  1. Click Help.
  2. Choose Reset App Data.
  3. Close and reopen the app to check if that works.

If the same thing happens, let's uninstall and reinstall the mobile app. The article I'm attaching below will guide you with the process:

When I tried the advice to reset data and couldn’t find it I fell upon a list of my previous attempts to do the same. My husband has tried as well. There is no reset data on the mobile app under help. And this is not the ability to see a customers location it is the ability to see all customers on one map in the customer search feature of the iPad application.

Thanks for getting back to us, @AnniesBirdGrooming.

The steps to reset or clear the cached data of a mobile app is pretty quick and simple! Please refer to these steps on how:

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), click the ellipsis In the upper right to get to the Settings & Help.
  2. Select Refresh Data, then choose Yes to confirm.
  3. Close and reopen the mobile app to double-check.
  4. If it works, restart the phone.

If the issue persists, try to uninstall and reinstall the app to start a clean slate. Please refer to this article and proceed to the iOs app section for the detailed steps on how: How to download the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you, so please let me know if you have any other issues or concerns. I'll be here to help. Have a good one!
