Moving from client to client and price rules don't update!

I'm using the QBO app, but I've tried a browser too. When I switch from one client to the next, the price rules I've set up do not update, or change from screen to screen making it look like a client has the prices of the previous client looked at!  This is a major problem! I'm having to force a screen update every time I change anything on the screen.  Any fixes for this?

Moving from client to client and price rules don't update!

Good morning, @Melissa016

It's great to see you back in the Community. It's my priority that you're able to get these price rules updated without updating the screen every time.

To properly assist you with this problem, are you using the browser on your phone or computer? Try using your computer to make these changes if you haven't.

Ensuring that your QuickBooks Online app is updated to the last version will help resolve this issue. If these suggestions don't work, I recommend refreshing your data within the app. Here's how:

Android

  1. Go to the three vertical dots within the app for "More Options."
  2. Press Settings
  3. Hit Refresh Data
  4. Click Yes

iOS:

  1. Go to the Menu ☰
  2. Choose Help & Feedback
  3. Click Refresh Data
  4. Tap Refresh Data

Please provide me with some further information or screenshots if these instructions don't work. Here are a few more details to help fix this problem: Troubleshooting Quick-Start Guide for the QuickBooks Online app

If you run into any trouble along the way, just let me know. I'm always here to lend a helping hand. I want to make sure all of your concerns are addressed. Have a great day!

I'm using a computer. I've used the browser and the app. App is the most recent version.

I know that this hasn't been easy for you, Melissa016.

I can share tips that will help you fix this issue.

Generally, when users encounter unusual behaviors in QuickBooks Online, they can perform some browser troubleshooting steps to resolve them. It could be that the stored cache and cookies are preventing the system to load the data properly. To isolate this issue, you can try logging in to your QuickBooks account in a private or incognito window, then update the price rules of your clients again.

Just press the following keyboard shortcuts to launch the window:

  • Safari (⌘ + SHIFT + N)
  • Mozilla Firefox (CTRL + SHIFT + P)
  • Microsoft Edge (CTRL + SHIFT + P)
  • Google Chrome (CTRL +SHIFT + N)

If the error is now gone, you'll have to switch back to your regular browser and clear its cache to improve your browsing experience. Alternatively, you can use other supported browsers.

For QuickBooks Online App for Windows/Mac, please follow these steps to get rid of the accumulated app data:

  1. Select Help from the top menu bar.
  2. Click Reset App Data.
  3. Allow a moment for the process to complete, and then close and reopen the program.
