New Version of Quickbooks for Mac 2019 Desktop New Issues and Old Issues

First New Version of Quickbooks 2019, Will not Self Populate items on Invoices. Please fix this. Also What is with all of the Customer Information when Sync with Contacts? I am Missing A Bunch of address and Phone Numbers of Customer, So I am Missing ALL info! When I repopulate, it adds another Duplicate address in my Contacts. Common Intuit, Fix this, This is NOT a New Issue!

Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community, fratinize. I can see how important it is to populate invoice items and see the essential details accurately when using the Sync with Contacts features. Please know that we aim to deliver customer satisfaction at all times and fix an issue as soon as possible. I'll ensure you can achieve your task after performing the troubleshooting steps below.

 

To start with, you'll have to update your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac to the latest release. This is to keep your software up-to-date so you always have the latest features and fixes while running QuickBooks.

 

Then, I suggest running the Verify and Rebuild Data Utilities to get this sorted out. The Verify Data utility identifies any potential data damage issues that might've caused items on the invoice won't populate. While the Rebuild Data utility repairs damaged data in your company file. Before this, you'll have to secure a backup copy of your company file.

 

To Verify data:

 

  1. Go to the File menu. Then, scroll down to Utilities.
  2. Select Verify Data.
  3. Click OK to close all windows. 

 

If you see “Your data has failed the integrity check” you need to rebuild your file. If there are no problems with your data, you’re done.

 

To Rebuild Data:

 

  1. Go back to the File menu.
  2. Choose Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data.
  4. Click on OK to close all windows.

On the other hand, please know that the first time to sync your QuickBooks lists with Contacts, the program creates duplicate Contacts cards and places them in a new group. That's the reason it adds another double address in your Contacts. With this, you may want to consolidate those cards.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Contacts. Then, choose All Contacts.
  2. Go to Card Menu and select Look for Duplicates.
  3. When the contact finishes looking for duplicate entries, select Merge.

Over the Years, I have Seen this Issue before where sync'd contact information disappears, yet I have 3, sometimes 4 duplicate address, but nothing in quickbooks

QBD 2019 is outdated and if you still find any error, don't expect them to fix it anymore. Consider installing the trial version for QBD 2023 and check if you are still having the same problem.

Last May 31 this year, access to add-on services and certain features are discontinued for all QuickBooks Desktop 2019 versions. The program will no longer receive any latest security patches and updates. Based on our service discontinuation policy, unsupported QuickBooks will continue to work only for basic accounting functions.
