When emailing a single form (invoice / statement / etc) from Quickbooks using Outlook 365 and I save a draft of the email, both programs lock up and I have to go through the task manger to end both programs and have them reload.
I need to at times save the email in my drafts folder because at times I have other attachments I need to send that are not from the Quickbooks program.
I never had this issue using our previous version of Enterprise Desktop (v13).
Did you ever get this resolved?
It looks like a many customers have been seeing this all year and Intuit has been promising a fix since February.
No it never has been resolved. I ended up resorting to changing my setting from sending using Outlook to Webmail to avoid the problem.
No I have not. I have changed my QB setting to send forms using Webmail instead of Outlook to avoid the problem.
Hi there, @MH_WMTL.
At this time, our engineering team is working on finding a permanent fix to this issue. Rest assured that this has been reported and will be prioritized.
In the meantime, I suggest using Webmail to send emails in QBDT as a workaround.
Also, to ensure you'll get an update about the resolution status, I recommend contacting our Phone Support Team. This way, they can add your company to the list of affected users and provide this investigation number for easy tracking: INV-0671.

Trying to use Outlook webmail, but my password is not accepted. Logging in separately to my webmail has no issues.
This is sooo frustrating!!!
Hello, CTES92058.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community. If QuickBooks won't accept your password when using webmail, we need to ensure you have update QuickBooks to the latest release. So you have the latest features and product enhancement. If you still getting the same error, you can review your email settings and preferences.
Also, make sure your security and filter settings are exemptions or rules so QuickBooks isn't blocked.
See this article for detailed steps: Webmail to work with QuickBooks.
If the same things happen, I recommend reaching out with our QuickBooks Desktop Team. They can further investigate what's causing the webmail password unaccepted in QuickBooks..
Here's how to contact them:
I also added an article that has information about our support hours of operation: Support hours and types.
You're always welcome to visit the Community if you have other concerns. We're one post away. Take care!
Thank you. We are on the most current version (QB 2023 R3_177) and have gone through the webmail settings as well. Will contact QB support next.
