QB to Quicken Conversion

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/convert-quic...

Has anyone had success with this?  I am downgrading from QB to Quicken and QB support gave me this link.  Excel does not give me the option to export to QIF format.  Ugh!

QB to Quicken Conversion

Thanks for reaching out to the Community forum, @aagdinc.

If you're referring to checking, savings, credit cards, 401(k), and other brokerage accounts information, it's not an option for QIF import. It was replaced within a .QFX import file.

For your future reference, you may want to convert your Quicken data to QuickBooks Desktop. For more information, here's a great resource that you can read: Convert Quicken data to QuickBooks Desktop.

Is there a path to convert QB Online files to Quicken importable file?

Thank you for reaching out, @thattravI'm here to assist you in your data conversion.

As of now, there's no direct way of converting QuickBooks Online (QBO) files to Quicken. Only QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) supports this, but I can give you two options that you can consider. The first option I can recommend is to export your QBO data and import it to QBDT trial version. After that, you can export your data from QBDT to Quicken. Second option is using a third-party app if you really want a direct way of doing it.

You can click here and use a third-party app in converting your QBO files to Quicken.

For future reference, here is an article that can help you save time tracking and recording your receipts from vendors: Upload your receipts to QuickBooks Online (intuit.com)

If there is anything else that you want to know regarding data conversion in QBO, just let us know. We're always here to help.

So, I need a third party app (THAT I HAVE TO SUBSCRIBE TO)?!?!?! Sorry, do you worms growing between your ears? Why wouldn't inuit provide export of my data that goes from one Intuit product to another? Seems reasonable, unless by design$$$$?

I understand the importance of converting a QuickBooks Online file to Quicken, @thattrav. It seems like this feature would be beneficial for your current task. However, as mentioned by my colleague earlier, there isn't a direct method to convert a file from QBO to Quicken. In light of this, I can provide you with the steps to provide feedback to our product developers.

Providing us with feedback will help enhance and enable you to have a more pleasing experience with QuickBooks Online.

Since QuickBooks Online offers these features as default, we can send a recommendation to our product developer. This way, they'll see your suggestion and consider adding it to the next program update.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Profile column, press the Feedback button.
  3. Write your product suggestion, then click Next.

Our Product Development team receives your thoughtful comments (QBO) through the feature request link: QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

Visit this article for further information on how to keep track of your client's account growth: QuickBooks Help Articles. It includes topics about account management, banking, and expenses and vendors, to name a few. You can click the + More topics button to view other selections.

Please feel free to remark with your response. I'm eager to deliver knowledge with the class and location function in QuickBooks Online topic. Have a great day.

Quicken is not part of the family anymore. Consider switching to QB Desktop instead. If you don't mind to use the trial version of QB Desktop, you can use it for good if required.
