Hello there, @Avioaccounting.

Let's refresh your QuickBooks Online app to help resolve this issue with saving outlook attachments.

Here's how:

  1. Go to: http://quickbooks.intuit.com/apps/.
  2. Scroll down to Get the QuickBooks Mac or Windows App section, and select Free Download
  3. Hit Download Now.

Once done, try creating and saving the outlook attachments again. For additional troubleshooting steps, I'm attaching the QuickBooks App for Windows and Mac: General support article with the detailed instructions.

Quick books Online Desktop App not saving outlook attachments

Greetings,

Thank you for your response, unfortunately this did not solve the error that the quick books online app is having. let me be more specific it is possible to put any attachment saved on a windows explorer folder on to the app, but attachments directly from Microsoft outlook only give the appearance that it is being saved in the quick books online app.

Thanks for getting back to us and providing detailed information about your concern, Avioaccounting.

Yes, it's possible. Whatever attachments you can attach in QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app, you can do the same thing in the Desktop app.

To further isolate the issue, let's start by clearing the Window App's Cache. Here's what you'll need to do:

  1. Click Help on the navigation bar at the top.
  2. Pick Reset App Data.
  3. Allow a moment for the process to complete, and then close the app.
  4. Be sure to right-click the app and Run as Administrator when re-opening.

Once done, try to add attachments again. If the issue persists after resetting the App Data, I recommend doing a full reinstall of the program.

To know more about QuickBooks Attachments, you can consider looking this article: Attachments in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted on how things go. I want to ensure you'd able to save outlook attachments. Have a great day!

Hello both methods have failed i will give a little more insight because it was working fine, and attachments were saving when the app first downloaded, but now even after complete reinstall it still does not save attachments directly from outlook.
