So, it seems that the quickbooksmessaging.exe app crashes when I try to send emails from quickbooks to outlook. I have attempted to reinstall quickbooks and office 2016. I have run the quickbooks tools to verify installation and program files. I ran a file doctor on the company file as well. What other steps can I take to resolve this issue?
Good work for doing some troubleshooting steps before reaching out to us, H4v3n. We'll have additional steps that you can try to fix it.
First, let's download and install the Tool Hub. This fixes QuickBooks' common errors. Here's how:
Next, let's run the Quick Fix my Program. This closes any open QuickBooks background processes and refreshes the program. Here's how:
Then, send the estimate again.

I have followed the steps you have outlined, including steps 2-5 in the article you linked. I was able to work for a couple days then it started happening again. It is an intermittent error. I will get a pop up that says "quickbooks has stopped responding" when trying to email out an invoice. I have followed every step I can find online to resolve this and it still occurs. For a while if I opened QuickBooks and then outlook, it would allow me to send emails. But that isn't even working anymore. I'm at wits end on this one. I ran through the tools in the "quickbooks tools hub" I reinstalled both QuickBooks AND Office 2016 again. I ran a file doctor on the Quickbooks file. I ensured my email settings were correct. It seems like when I try to send an email form quickbooks, that it can't find outlook or can't hook into it. Is this making any sense? Are there other settings or steps I can take to resolve this?
I appreciate the complete details you've provided, @h4v3n.
Here are some of the possible reasons as to why you encounter errors when emailing sales forms in QuickBooks Desktop.
Let's first make sure your QuickBooks is updated to its latest release version. From here, we'll be able to get rid of issues and errors when using its online features. QuickBooks periodically provides maintenance release and product (software) updates to fix emailing concerns, add features and enhancements, and update compliance information.
Second, please check the settings in the web mail preferences:

As I said previously, I have performed a clean install of quickbooks and ensured it is up to date. Today I verified that the email settings are correct under Preferences > send forms. I then went through the steps in the links you sent. I set it to run as admin, assured that the quickbooks settings were correct again, and ran the MAPI32.dll fix. I am still having the issue.
And again, this is to send to outlook NOT webmail.
thanks
I've checked our records, and I saw an open investigation regarding your issue, Tzykid.
Our engineers are working hard for a fix to be rolled out.
Aside from closing Outlook, another workaround would be setting up the webmail. Here's how:
I'd also suggest getting in touch with our customer care support. We're taking notes of all users who got affected by the issue. Here's how:
