I have an annual intuit subscription for desktop pro 2022. What happens when this expires?
I'm just curious if i can still send invoices through email and receive online payments even though my susbsciption is already expired.
Your program will be locked. You can open your data file after paying for the renewal later or open it on any trial version or active license. You can still purchase the one time license for QB Desktop 2021 if required and request a refund for your QB Desktop 2022 license within 60 days.
Hi there, @Jacob Q.
I'll help share details about how your subscription works in QuickBooks Desktop 2022.
Yes, @Fiat Lux - ASIA, is correct. You're account is n longer able to use the online services linked to the plan and subscription your using. Online services such as sending invoices and receiving online payments is no longer useful when your subscription expires.
Kindly use and read this article to learn more about what happens after a subscription expires: QuickBooks Desktop Cancelation Policies.

Hi there,
I appreciate you "having my back" about this. I keep reading about the "expiration" of my QB 2019 desktop program and I'm none to happy about it It's been a nightmare ever since I started with it because I'm trying to manage rental properties with it and no doubt, you know it stinks. Have to make "work arounds" that are confusing and for me, quite a mess.
My question is, much as I HATE to think about it, I would start using Online IF, IF, IF I could manage my rentals more effectively with that system. I've searched all over the internet trying to find the answer to that question and no one seems to know.
Why on earth doesn't QB or Intuit or whomever is in charge develop a Rental/management friendly software that would make us landlords ABSOLUTELY SING!!!????
This didn't ask for my email or phone, so if it's possible can you answer me at
[email address removed] Thanks, Dolly Caswell, Alaska

You may consider migrating data from QB Desktop to QB Online US Essential or Plus.
https://quickbooks.grsm.io/us-promo
then explore this app to manage your rental properties to integrate with QBO.

Oh my stars, I have no idea HOW to migrate one thing into another!
And did I mention I REALLY don't like the online version because it costs money year after year.
Also, I don't understand your extensions grsm.io/US
And are you helping me out from Asia? How kind of you. I don't know what Level 15 means, I suppose you are a big shot with QuickBooks?? I wish I knew the software better and I wish I liked it better.
Thank you for the suggestion of Tenantcloud, however, when I went to the app, it wouldn't let me
put in anything for my CURRENT tenants. It appears it's for new tenants only. But it looks interesting.
Again, thank you for answering my pitiful question. You are the only one who has. I appreciate you!

If you're a veteran QB Desktop user, I wouldn't recommend migrating to QB Online, unless you're ready to use third-party apps. You may purchase a one time license for QB Desktop 2021 Premier to upgrade your QB Desktop 2019 if required.
Not sure if you will see this, but I have used QB since 2013 for our rentals. We have 23 properties. All you need to do is set up the Classes. Then each class has it's own income and expenses. You then use the P&L By Class report to do your tax return and anything else you need split up by property. It's SOOOO easy. I'm a CPA - and I use this for my clients as well - along with others in my firm. I cannot imagine not having QB for all this activity.
