Hello, my business is closing down and I would like transfer quickbooks online to a quickbooks desktop Mac version. I do not need the monthly subscription,as I have no business and just need to keep the books for tax purposes. May I do this and what version of quickbooks desktop should I get. Before doing so, the most recent version of QBDT operates on a subscription basis, offering a variety of QuickBooks Desktop versions that you can choose from. Also, please note that after September 30, 2024, new subscriptions for the mentioned products will no longer be available.

To start, you'll need to export your files from QBO to QBDT for Windows. Then, convert them to Mac so you can successfully move the file. Just a heads up:

And I do not need a subscription, as I will be closing the business this next year, as I have no sales. Once done, export your files from QBO to QBDT for Windows you can refer to the steps provided by my colleague, @JoesemM to convert them to QBDT MAC.
Moreover, just a heads up QuickBooks Desktop has now shifted to a yearly subscription-based license. These changes offer enhanced benefits for businesses, including improved money management, data synchronization, and faster processing speeds, which help the subscribers to receive regular security updates and access to all the latest features. Additionally, since you mentioned that you no longer use QuickBooks Online except for tax purposes, you can cancel your subscription to avoid getting charged.
