I am helping my sister. She currently has QBO. Due to unskilled data entry the file is messed up. Our accountant is suggesting QB Desktop as that is what they prefer as well as other reasons. I know that QB Desktop now requires a company file to be associated with an Intuit account. Is there any problem with having QBO and QB Desktop under the same Intuit account? Or with having the company file/name be the same?
My fear is buying QB 2021 and registering it and the company file to the same account that QBO is under and having it corrupt something in QBO.
Thanks

Glad to have you here in the Community, @kingfish65.
Using the same Intuit account and company name for both QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is fine. QuickBooks allows you to have multiple company files with the same Intuit account.
