Talked to Capital One about original scam in March 22, 2023 told my story they are going to investigate meanwhile sending paperwork by mail to dispute the charge of 5414. A surprise, I just want to reach as many I can. Quickbooks Support never calls and they use Glance Guest to interact with computer not Data Solutions which they installed on my computer March 2023.
My guy was Spencer also. blocked his number 855-738-4473 and another Eric Smith 800-580-5375 blocked.
wanted 5000.00 to fix data corruption.
I read someone disputed then later had to repay it. That's what likely will happen.
yes he is calling my landline number leaving messages to return call 2x so far. [removed]. (Quickbooks hacker) Trying to figure out how to block that.
Unfortunately they already know your data in CAMPS and may contact you with another number. Consider renewing your license or purchasing a new one through selected partners and you can ask them to change any contact details except your company name.
Just got the same thing from [removed] from the "QuickBooks Support Team". How did they get my QuickBooks info? I told them that I had FBI tools here and I was in process of reporting them, but if they were legitimate, they could "stay on the line to authenticate themselves". Of course, I got an immediate hang-up. It would help if Intuit would take this level of fraud seriously.
This just happened to me as well. An Indian accent wanting my information. The scary thing was it showed up as a QB Support incoming call.
The link to report fraud just takes you to a generic page.
Log into your CAMPS and change your phone number. They may try contacting via email again but at least you can isolate those attempts.
Or just do what we do, and tell them we know it's a scam, and to quit calling. Haven't had a call since... and it's been over a year.
Just received a call from "Quick Books Support" it even flagged as quickbooks on our office phone for the number [removed] asking for an updated Credit Card as now QB would be charging a separate fee for support.
How would they know I use QB. Anyway did not respond as I knew it was fraud but not everyone would know.
Maybe QB should email their users to alert them to this fraud.
You have QB Desktop, correct?

We no longer use QuickBooks Pro. Again, I do not know how someone got my information from QuickBooks. I am definitely a little spooked by Intuit right now if this was not spam and came from Intuit.
Our company received a voice message today during business hours on our published business line saying it was time for our annual Quickbooks Service renewal but our card didn't go through. We were asked to call [removed], which is the number that called, to provide payment and continue the Quickbooks subscription. We have two businesses on QBO on a monthly auto draft from each businesses' credit card account. Both accounts are current. Clearly an attempt to scam businesses.
QB seems well aware that these calls are going on. They just brush it all off. No big deal to them.
It's just too bad that more people fall for such scams, without realizing that QB will just lock your acct for nonpayment and will NEVER call for a credit card.
As of March 2024, this exact scam is still happening. I have received two calls from them this month with the same fake information from "Hazel" and from "Anna."

Well I guess you aren't doing anything to stop this since this report was in 2019, and I just got an email with the same scam and same phone number 5 years later in 2024.
support @ quickbookstech . com
Scammed us earlier. Coming back for seconds. Ugh.
He wants 3,319.90 US and wants it mailed to

But FIRST he wants a photo of the check, i assume for deposit via cheque scanner software. The address is probably some poor bloke but you would this they would make it look like a business address instead of residential. I expect he will call me back and that i will unload on him.
Definately INDIAN, names Eric, James and then Gary Williams. Alot of emphasis on correct spelling of the cheque name - they must have gone over it 6 times. Seems very legit and easily scams small business owners who have so much else on the brain. Of couse expiry date is the day they call and they need a cheque in 2 days or QB will stop working... I have a recording of most of the conversion. Kinda funny because when they were spelling QB Support... they said Q as in Quick and B as in Beta . Duh
Reported to Quickbooks BUT what can they do really. Nothing i don't think.
I Google searched to download the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Took me to the legit intuit website. I clicked the option to download the tool hub. It asked me for more specifics about my subscription including phone number and email address. Weird. Then it said it download error. This was ALL on the intuit website!!!! Within minutes my job is getting a phone call from "QB Support / Billings". Indian accent guy on the phone asking if he can help me. I skeptically said I was having issues and thought it was weird they called me so fast. He tried to get me to go the website support.me. Immediately I knew this was FRAUD! So I said you know what I don't have time today let me get your call back number. He gave me [removed] "Andy". I google searched that number and it came up as nothing and weird characters. Obviously a brand new phone number for their FRAUD. I am so pissed at Intuit! They obviously have a hacked site!!!!
Here is the screenshot I sent Intuit. The email for reporting things like this is [email address removed]
Once you click on it, it takes you to a completely different website address where it looks exactly like Intuit!

I just received a call (not the first time) saying that they are from support and my subscription payment was declined. I asked for a number to prove that they were with Quickbooks/Intuit. He gave me the number [phone number removed]. When you call back, it does says Quickbooks support but sounds...like a weird recording. I highly suspect this is a scam. I can't find anywhere where to report this via the support area.
I've been getting calls like this. At least once a month I get one of these calls. Most recently I got one and the number always comes up on caller ID as QuickBooks. They tell me my subscription payment did not go through, to which I replied "It wouldn't have as we pay for our subscription through our CPA firm" To which they then reply with "Oh, it's not for that it's for your tech support subscription" I tell them what I always tell them. "I'm so glad you told me! I'll call QuickBooks right away!" and then I hang up. It usually stops the calls for a little while.
