Join nowI just opened QuickBooks Pro 2018 and am getting this. I do not want to have an account to keep using my software I bought. How do I get rids of this? I do not use QuickBooks for payroll or connecting to any bank accounts and I do not use credit cards. I just use it to make Invoices and keep track of my clients and money. So please help me.
Also how can I get QuickBooks stop connecting to the internet and giving me the advertisements about upgrading. I own the software and should not be getting this.
I have been using QuickBooks for over 10 years and this stuff gets worse and worse every year. So I guess its time to find something else.
Thanks,
Dennisfc

Hello there, @
Allow me to share some details about registering for an Intuit Account.
This is an added security to maintain the information for each product you purchase in one place at Intuit. Manage your Moreover, in case you need the data downloaded for each Intuit product, the file can easily be downloaded here.
There's a workaround you may do. You need to temporarily disconnect the internet connection to your computer while you're signing in. Then, reconnect it after you've already in your QuickBooks Desktop company page.
To know more about setting up an Intuit account, you may visit this article: Create or open a company file using Intuit account ID.
Please don't hesitate to let me know in the comment section if you have other questions. I'd be happy to answer them for you. Take care.
Thx for the workaround but it will become a pain. I do not want to use an Intuit Account. Why does Intuit need to maintain my information? I don't have any other programs, use payroll, sync with my bank or use credit cards. How can i stop this? I bought the software and have been using this version for 2 years and now Intuit wants to change it? I do not want my QuickBooks communicating online or i would of bought the cloud version. So again how do i permanently fix this? Or do i have to find a new software?
Thanks,
Dennis
Hello, Dennisfc.
Let me share with you why this prompt shows in your intuit account window.
As we tighten our security to safeguard our customer's account, we've started our Desktop One Intuit Identity login on File Creation. This is for users who indicated that they are the Admin/Primary for the file.
This is the extra layer security implemented in all Intuit products, not just with QuickBooks. This way, your data gets protected as well as your customers’ and employees’ information recorded in QuickBooks.
That said, all users who have the Credit Card Protection feature on, or whose QuickBooks Desktop file contains sensitive data such as credit card data or PII will be asked to set up a password to verify that the person attempting to access the account is authorized to view such data.
QuickBooks detects the presence of the following data and ensures strong control:

Thx for the reply.
I really don't care why this is coming up i just want it to stop. So can someone please tell me how to stop this?
Thanks,
Dennis
So i take it no one know how to stop this?
Dennis
So i take i tno one has a fix for this problem.
Good day, Dennisfc.
I understand that you want to stop the prompt.
It's best to set up an Intuit Account to make it easier to manage your Intuit products. Also, all admins are required to have its own account. In order to stop this prompt, I suggest creating one.
You can find the detailed steps in this link: Create or open a company file using your Intuit account ID.
In addition, please check these articles for more details:
I'll be here if you have more questions. Wishing you all the best!
I do not want to create an Intuit Account. I do not have other Intuit products that i need to manage. I think this is ridicules that Intuit is doing this. Everyone from the QuickBooks Team keeps saying the same thing. There are other posts on this and no fix. So again, how do i stop this from coming up without crating an Intuit account. I own the software and i cant even use it. Not right.
Dennis
