Quickbooks Forum 261124 Change Filename from Mustang to Martin
Dear Fellow Quickbooks users
I am using an old version of Quickbooks, only for some rental properties, and a very small business I have. I don't do anything online. No need. Up til about 5 years ago, I kept books on Quickbooks for a rental property I owned, Mustang. I sold the property but kept the quickbooks file on my hard drive.. Recently I began renting out another property, Martin.
So I resurrected the Mustang file and renamed the company to Martin and began recording transactions. But now I find that when I try to log in, the company file is still named "5033 Mustang Way QBW". What's more, I can't find the Mustang file on my hard drive to rename it.
I need some help to find the file and rename it so I can find it when I log in to Quickbooks.
JC

The reason you're unable to locate the company file in your hard drive, it has many existing root files. If it wasn't deleted, you can easily locate the file by connecting the hard drive to your computer.
