Do i need 1 license with 2 users or 2 separate licenses

I am an accountant in one city and my client is in another city.  The client will enter the transaction in QB desktop through the month and I will do the month ends. We will NOT be using QB at the same time. Because we are in 2 different cities I want to use the remote services of 'QBox.'  For the 2 of us to use the services of QBox can I use 1 licence with 2 users, or do we need 2 separate licences?  tHANK YOU.

I'll discuss the differences between the two options, JR1225.

The rights are the same whether you have one license with two users or two separate licenses. The only difference is that the second one needs to be purchased separately. Any of the two options will enable you to work on the same file simultaneously or not.

All you need to do is correctly configure the sharing. As you wanted to use the QBox remote services, this allowed the other to access and open the file from the host. The process is a little bit tricky, check out the following articles below for the procedures and information on setting up a multi-user network:

In case you run into problems attempting to switch to multi-user mode, I've also included this troubleshooting instruction for future use: How to fix Error H202 and H505.

I'm here to help you if you need further assistance with multi-user mode. Have a great day.

@JR1225

If you want to use QBox, you must have a license for 2 users.
