Let's use the File Doctor to fix company file issues in QuickBooks Desktop.
Here's how:
- Close QuickBooks.
- Download and install the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
- Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
- Once done, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
- From the tool hub, choose Company File Issues.
- Click Run QuickBooks File Doctor.
- In QuickBooks File Doctor, select your company file from the drop-down menu. If you don’t see your file, click Browse and search.
- Select Check your file and then click Continue.
- Enter your QuickBooks admin password and then select Next.

Make sure also to create a backup of your company file. This way, you have the option to restore your data in case you run into a problem.
