There is a bug in the customer profile.
If you fill in the billing field on the user profile, neither the name or any other data from Billing fields prints on invoices.
I have tested this with a variety of data when it stopped working 3 days ago. The only thing I put in the billing field is the customer phone number as per this article:
2 Days ago, invoices started printing with blank Billing to details until I removed any data from the billing fields in the profile.
This is on the heels of the disastrous change to the Profile form. The new form is HORRIBLE. It is not efficient or user friendly. Is there anyway to get the old form back?
Thank you
Hello there, @Zekeman.
Welcome to the Community. Let me share some clarification about the customer profile not showing in QuickBooks Online.
The program may not be responding properly when there's too much cache stored in our browser. If you haven't tried performing some basic troubleshooting steps, you can follow the steps below to verify if this is a browser-related issue. To isolate this, try signing into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private browser (incognito).
Once logged in, try adding new customers again to double-check. If it's successful, return to your default browser and perform a clear cache to refresh the system. However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers.
I'll also add this article that tackles adding, editing, and managing customers in QBO: Add and manage customers in QuickBooks Online.
For additional reference, you can use the following article to personalize invoices in QuickBooks: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
I'm willing to listen if you have other concerns about QuickBooks Online. I'm here to give an update, guides, and important information related to the program.
While it appears this was another symptom of the dreaded "full cache" issue, it further underscores my belief that this is a bug that should be addressed by Intuit. It doesn't happen with other systems and can be ameliorated with proper design.
