Join nowWhile inputting Payee and Account number into a downloaded transaction any blank transaction above and below that transaction automatically changes to that account number.
For example, I enter Lowe's Home Improvement in the Payee column it pops up with the correct account number 5020 for that vendor. Unfortunately automatically ALL or most of the other blank transactions I have yet to enter now that same account number. I have to continually go in and delete all of these incorrect account numbers.
Does anyone have a fix for this???

Set up a banking payee rule to never apply rules for that payee.

I do wish Intuit allowed us to disable renaming rules. I will only use my register to enter all downloaded transactions from now on.
Hi there, @ktata.
Thanks for getting back to us here in the Community. I'm here to share some information about the renaming rule in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac.
Disabling the renaming rules when entering downloaded transactions is a great idea! However, this option is currently unavailable in QBDT for Mac.
I'll be sure to pass along your request to see more customization within the program. I also invite you to leave feedback for the Product Development Team and let them know about the changes you'd like to see made and how this option makes your QuickBooks experience smoother.
Here's how:
1. Go to QuickBooks, then pick Preferences.
2. On the Preferences pane, select Feedback.
3. You can also visit Feedback for QuickBooks Mac.
Just in case, you can also check out this link for your future reference: https://qblittlesquare.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/QuickBooks-for-Mac-2019-1809.pdf.
That's it! Thanks for being a part of our QuickBooks family. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, don't hesitate to post again or leave a comment below. Take care and have a great rest of the day.
IN QBDT for windows you can allocate an account for the renamed payees such as Applebee's - meals and entertainment. I am not able to figure out how to do this in QBDT for mac and payees are being allocated incorrectly- Any suggestions?
Thanks
