I agrre with everything you say.  QB on line sucks and they are trying to force the online to be able to sell your data.  What about a class action legal case against Intuit??? I would be the first signing the demand.

If you're referring to keeping your current QuickBooks up-to-date so you have the latest features and product improvements, you can follow the steps below.

1. Select Update available and choose Install now to install the update.
2. Sit back and relax while the update is being installed. It might take a while for the update to be installed.
3. Open QuickBooks once the update is established.

However, if you mean to upgrade to the latest version of QuickBooks due to your current version being discontinued, you can click Upgrade Now. This is usually seen as a prompt message when you open QuickBooks. Then, you can follow the steps below.

1. Choose Keep old version on my computer if you want to keep your current QuickBooks and select Let’s go. QuickBooks downloads, installs, and activates the new version for you. It updates your company file(s).
2. When the upgrade is done, select Open QuickBooks.

I have an older version of QB 2020 I think, so it won’t let me update it anymore. I prefer the desktop version but it won’t let me add a new company I am handling. There is so much online that it’s very confusing and I wanna make sure I’m getting the correct version from Intuit directly

You can update your QB Desktop 2020 to R17 as the latest version. You can also use your QB Desktop 2020 with the non subscription license for good to manage multi company files. What do you mean by "it won’t let me add a new company I am handling"?

One critical question. Can you access CAMPS as Primary Contact and find your license code there?

Trying to compare prices for the various options. I cannot find anywhere what the additional cost is to add 2 users to 2024 Desktop Pro Plus (3 total). Tried calling Intuit sales and ended up hanging up. What a nightmare. Anyone know?

Determining the total cost of adding extra users for Pro and Premier Plus isn't directly available on the website. You can follow these steps to find the correct price and purchase the licenses.

1. In your QuickBooks Desktop.
2. Go to the Help menu, then select Manage My License and Buy Additional User License.
3. Select Add Seats Online for current pricing. Check the prices of each additional seat.

If you can't proceed, I suggest contacting our Technical Support instead of the sales team to inquire about the accurate pricing details and to help you set up the additional user licenses.

Have you contacted @Fiat Lux - ASIA to get the price reference?

Is anyone else having issues with this mandatory update of their desktop payroll.  I have been trying since 1pm today to update.  All I get is a white screen and have to force a shutdown of my computer to get it to go away.  I can't gain any access of my payroll and the update does not take effect until June 28, 2024.  As for online payroll, that is something I will never agree to there is too much private information to be floating around for anyone to see.

Login to your CAMPS and make sure your QB Desktop and Enhanced Payroll subscription are Active (green color)..

hi, I sure hope so. I download bank statements a lot - do you think they will be able to turn this feature off?  I'm looking for alternatives, but I am not looking forward to moving all my data over and learning a new program.  I will not buy the QB subscription and I won't use their online version either, it's terrible.

Not according to "Ashley" the sales person I just spoke with.  I've asked for a manager to call me back.
