Buy nowCan you access CAMPS as the Primary Contact and find your license code there?
Yes, you can, MFS2024. I'll gladly walk you through the steps below to purchase the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
Your QBDT Pro allows up to three users to work in the same company file. Please follow the steps below to complete the process:
Once done, proceed to the Sync your license data section of this article to update your new license info: Add a user license to your QuickBooks software.
Moreover, you can consider setting up a private cloud environment, especially since you want to avail additional user licenses. You'll only need internet access to let every user handle your company file while using SDK to access QuickBooks. Refer to this article to set up a hosting environment: How to host a QuickBooks Desktop company file.
Kindly notify me how it goes after adding a user license by leaving a comment below. I'm always ready to circle back and provide you with the necessary assistance you may require.
This is true. However we are a small business and the Online version is miserable. I finally tried it for 20 minutes and cancelled immediately. It's purpose is for being able to send your work out online. Intuit hires people to work as a Quickbooks Pro Advisor and bookkeeping...BUT you are forced to use QB Online. They make you fear you will no longer have support. Its not that won't support problem shooting but rather that they won't come out with additional updates or fixes. QB Desktop 2024 will be it. If you have it already, you're good. If you want to purchase it....not so lucky. BUT, just use your older version. In addition Payroll features were focused through Online as well. However, you can set up Payroll manually in Quickbooks Desktop even if you didn't purchase Payroll. I am a bookkeeper with 40 years experience. I would love to work for people doing their books and would even be willing to go through Quickbooks. But they only want to talk about Pro Advisor, Sales, those type things. Testing and classes. I simply want to find clients on my own or via Quickbooks. I don't mind being an employee.
The subscription is for their support. You already have the program and don't need to buy it again. Just use it. There are people who will continue to help with issues if you have any. Some may be high and some may be exploiting, such as the people offering to sell a lifetime license. There isn't a lifetime license on support because support means producing another version with updates and fixes.
You can still purchase QB Desktop Accountant and Enterprise. If you use QB Desktop Pro Plus or Premier Plus, you cannot purchase the Enhanced Payroll subscription any longer but you can use a third-party payroll application to integrate with your QB Desktop. You can check the following blog for reference.

I have 4 clients using Desktop as old as 2017, 2018 and 2021 - they just don't import.
Do they need to convert data to QBO or have other concerns?
I agree with you. I don't use payroll so I don't need table updates. The software really hasn't changed in the last 10 years, but they want to put you on a subscription basis. CASH GRAB, and no added value to the consumer!
In 2023, QBP Desktop 2023 cost our little company $550.33, in 2024 it jumped up to 702.54, this year they have hiked the cost to 1081.42. That's doubled in price from 2 years ago. It is completely unsupportable for our tiny HOA. Glad you were able to get your needs solved, but we have no choice but to work on ditching Quickbooks.
You can use the trial version of QB Desktop Enterprise to access your archive files for good if required.
when support for my desktop first expired, I tried to purchase the new desktop version. On phone with various sales people - had to badger and badger every single one to get a straight answer. mostly I hung up on them after it was clear the salesperson was not being honest (perhaps they should consider switching to selling used cars, they'd be great at it!). Finally I badgered one into telling me the only option was to buy the subscription service (the online version). So I have been on pro 2021 ever since.
Between Intuit and Microsoft, I'm not sure what software company I hate the most.
You have QB Desktop 2021 Premier with a non subscription license, correct?
Why should you upgrade to 2024?
For me, it has to be Quickbook that I hate more. If I could find a replacement, I'd kick their software off my systems.
And for me Norton is runner up. Constant pop ups to upsell to stop "tracking cookies" for example, for only $29.99 per month! But wait, there's more !!! As if deleting cookies and clearing cache doesn't do this. These software companies must have a lot of debt, to justify annoying the heck out of existing customers with constant promotions.
Is this still available?
Sure- but it's now subscription only. Unless you don't want to upload bank activity and then it won't matter.
Do you need to run any add-ons?
No, I don't do payroll or upload any bank activity
No, I don't use payroll and don't have any banks attached.
You can use an old QB Desktop with a non subscription license. You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA for details.
@cmalbarado, where can I find a copy of QB desktop for Mac 2024, or 2025 available for purchase? @4Gal
You should contact Fiat Lux. You might be lucky to find a copy.
I have Quickbooks online they just renewed and charged $1700 for the subscription and then $1700 for payroll and said they would credit me for that even sent a email for the credit ( which I have not received) then they just tried to charge me a monthly fee of $36 which I declined and now they have blocked me out and still have my $3400 . I will be calling the credit card company and get a return but have no idea how to get the desktop with payroll the online sucks and is very hard to use the desktop is a 100% better
How can I contact you
That sucks. It makes me think Intuit is just desperate for money. Just let us have our desktop version! Good riddance.
