How do I get Turbo tax does to recognized my QB

I can help recognize your QuickBooks Online (QBO) data and move them to TurboTax, atenteventsc1.

You need to download a trial version of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to perform the migration. Export the data from QBO to QBDT, then from QBDT to TurboTax.

You can refer to this article  for more information: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop

Once done, follow the steps below to transfer your QuickBooks data into TurboTax:

  1. From the TurboTax File menu, select Import, then click From Accounting Software.
  2. Select QuickBooks [version] and click Continue.
  3.  Follow the onscreen instructions.

Also, I'd recommend using this article to guide you in importing QuickBooks into TurboTax: How do I import QuickBooks data into TurboTax Business?.

If you have any other questions about sending your tax info, I recommend contacting our TurboTax Support team. They have a dedicated community site to answer all the tax and product questions that you have.

On the other hand, you may look for a third-party application that could help export your data to TurboTax. To check for apps compatible with QBO, please visit his link: https://apps.intuit.com/app/apps/home.

@atenteventsc1

Utilize a bookkeeping app to intergate with your QBO as a workaround. You don't need to install QBD to export the TXF file.

How do I get Turbo tax does to recognized my QB

Just wondering if anyone has any information on this.

When I go to export my data (expenses, income, receipts) from Quickbooks self employed, absolutely nothing comes up on Turbo Tax.

The main issue here is that all of my expenses are tracked in Quickbooks self employed, along with receipts.

The income doesn't matter as much because I will be getting 1099s. Am I going to have to manually export all of this data over to Turbo Tax, and if so, what is the point of quickbooks self employed?

How do I get Turbo tax does to recognized my QB

Hello there, Zboncak.

Your accounts must be connected for the import to work. This means you log into QuickBooks Self-Employed and either TurboTax Self-Employed or TurboTax Live Self-Employed with the same sign in credentials. Before exporting, make sure your information in QuickBooks is final. You can only send your information over once.

I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Self-Employed Support Team if you're still unable to export your data to TurboTax.

You can check out this link for more details about QuickBooks Self-Employed annual tax guide.

I'll be here if you need anything else. Take care and have a good one!

Your answer doesn't make any sense because their IS NOT "  From Accounting Software" option on the 'Import' menu item -- there is only "Quickbooks". And it does not say anything about a quickbooks version, NOR does it give an option of where on the local PC to get the QB file from. I've imported mine multiple times trying to get it to bring over my sales, which are clearly listed in Quickbooks. But it says '0' in TurboTax 2021. You guys need to fix your software. I have to query Google every dadgum year to find out how to get around stuff that doesn't work in your software.

So I suppose it's just "magically" finding where it thinks the file ought to be. Here's what a REAL programmer would do: Import--> Accounting Software --> (list of all compatible types on local PC) --> file location . THEN a user knows what the heck this crap is using. The only time your software gave me an option to select a location was the first time I booted up Turbotax. That was a network location, which **you guys** advised would not work, so I moved that file to a *local folder* as recommended. But on next import retry, Turbotax just churns away and "imports" incomplete data. No income, only some expenses. AND, your 'Update' button doesn't work when I try to manually add the sales income. This is bad software. Every other app on my PC runs great & does what it's supposed to except for Intuit stuff.

This is not the kind of service we want you to experience while using QuickBooks, support2.

In QuickBooks, we don't have control of the information imported to us. That's why we need to ensure before exporting the data is final, because you can only send your information over once.

However, I have another way to view the other option like the "Update" button. Let's try logging into your QuickBooks account using a private browser (incognito). It's possible that the browser stores frequently accessed data, thus causing websites like QuickBooks to act weirdly.

If the steps above works, I suggest clearing your browser's cache to boost browser-related issues. Some stored data on your browser can impact the data being transmitted, thus causing some unusual responses.

On the other hand, If the steps above will not work, you can use supported browsers as alternatives.

If this behavior persists, I'd encourage you to contact our Support Team so they can investigate it further. Here's the link on how to contact our support team:  QuickBooks Self-Employed Support Team
